I think that the traditional (I mean as you know it …), as largely as the creation of the light meter, etc. For each frame.
Its more “old” and the digital frame you can see and its more computerized

Let me first say this: it is very difficult to sell the photos. That being said, the easiest way to start doing a blog. You can post pictures there and describe what a picture, and how you take pictures. In addition, PBase is an online photo gallery where you can register and start uploading images.
There are some amazing things there – definitely worth a look, even if you do not sign up.
Then there are the online agencies fund. I would suggest Alamy, because it is relatively easy to get started. And finally, check out the local club photo. Clubs are often competitions in different categories, and these things are a good learning opportunity. You can see what others are doing, and you can learn from the judges comments.
Sometimes, you can get pictures at an exhibition with the club for sale on the local municipal buildings, etc. Good luck!

Photo from the film is very much different from digital. First, it is done in a dark room. You need the right chemicals, enlarger, etc. Plus there are completely different feel to it, as the images produced after the point and shoot parts. In addition, all chemicals, film photography more harmful to health, particularly color film! Digital photography all processed on the computer, rather than in a dark room. You are using a computer program for editing photos as well as a printer for your photos. Again, just feels drugoy.Ya suggest you try both before making a decision. I prefer a digital (because I can not stand the smell of a dark room), but many people really love movies. And the pinhole camera can only work in a dark room (they are very fun!).

I liked the picture as a hobby for 50 + years. I have a Canon 20D, and I have Scott Kelby fan. He was a great connoisseur of Photoshop, but stresses the importance of obtaining the best shot at taking pictures to make your stay more pleasant in Photoshop. You do not have to work as hard, if you make the right impact from the outset.
Scott approaches each chapter with a sense of humor, and really understands what you really need is a clear bottom line on how to approach a person or thing you want to take pictures.
I got my book, September 4, read it and his advice shooting 500 + photos of volleyball on September 5. I think I can see some improvement in my pictures have.
He equipment recommendations and tips for shooting a man who had just bought a digital camera and the person who uses it to make a living.
It worked for a number of professionals with training tips on processing digital photos and how best to print them. Scott believes photography can be more fun if you get the results you how to use some of the basic principles used in professional photographers.
I did not hesitate to recommend this book to some of my friends. < ; br /> This is one of the cheapest camera related purchases that I made to bring their pictures excitement to a new level.
I am quite sure that you will not be disappointed, especially if you have Nikon or Canon digital SLR.
I hope my copy to become dog-eared from use.

I am an amateur camera club, and you explain it better than they did. Thank you. We slowed the shutter while the cars passed and got a cool effect with the heads of rear lights. When you slowed the shutter to get the detail in the background while you continue to use the flash memory or are you using just the lighting or both?
By James R. Lowell amazon.com
Since I propose to view (and review) about the book, book digital photography, I think, a quick look at my past can give what should be a little more credibility. I enthusiastically advanced amateur photographer with about 40 years of experience, which includes a fair amount of awards and published photos. I closed my wet lab several years ago and, fortunately, traded film and silver-based images for electrons, pixels and ink-jet printing.
Enough about me, but now let’s look at the latest book by Scott Kelby (the National Association of Photoshop Professionals fame): Digital Photography books.
It is another kind of animal in the world of self-help books photography.
The author describes the experience of reading the book, have your good friend – who also happens to be an expert in digital photography – standing beside you when you’re taking pictures.
Book lives up to Scott’s description – complete with his frequent interjection quirky sense of humor. (Attention, follow the first page of the first chapter.)
I do not think that this is a book for complete beginners – whether in pictures or in the use of digital equipment. Scott assumes readers already know the basics of how their cameras work (what and where the controls), and used their cameras long enough to know what more they want to learn to better pictures.
Another reason Some basic knowledge of photography is necessary to obtain maximum benefit from this book is that Scott does not shy away from including in terms of sharing of digital photographers today: ISO, white balance, focal length, lens aperture, etc.
It also assumes that readers have a desire to move into the ranks from the point-and-shooters, at least competent amateurs. Thus, Scott includes numerous proposals for the transfer of photographic, he feels, can help any photographer to take better pictures – and even though it violates their proposed price down range, most of the gear still comes with a hefty price.
Look at the chapter titles also confirms that Scott did not write to teach, all the books for all readers. 11 chapters include specialized topics, such as shooting flowers, as Pro, shooting weddings as Pro, shooting sport at the professional level and take advantage of digital as Pro. In my opinion, the last chapter, Photo recipe, to help you “” Shot, “was the best part of the book. Here, Scott puts together and takes his readers into the field to practice what they have learned.
So, I like the book of digital photography? Moreover, I can recommend? Yes, both of these questions, but as I mentioned above to get the most from this book, the reader should have at least a point and shoot digital experience and the basic dictionary of photographic terms.
One final note.
The book can be read from front to back, or chapters, you can try at random, learning methods to every reader needs. At the offered price, I think digital photography book, of course, takes place in a library full photographer.

In photography, the differences prints.
The more the film gets more pixels it receives. In the 35-mm SLR – shooting the best shots, using a very good lens, you can get 20 million pixels. Now I have seen only 12. 2 million pixels (in digital SLR), and heard about 16 million pixels (although I do not know if they have to DSLR – Digital Single Lens Reflex). Mirror (SLR) camera uses an automatic moving mirror system which allows the photographer to see exactly that will be captured by film or digital imaging system, in contrast to the no-SLR cameras where the view through the viewfinder can be significantly different from what was captured on plenke.Ne going too technical, movies tend to capture the color deeper than digital. Although digital is there, or maybe he’s already there – as becomes more pixels, and color coding is better.
The larger print more pixels you need for a certain clarity you’re looking for – basically, if you do commercial photography or as an artist.
There is also a great movie formats, such as 220 mm.Togda that the environmental factor to consider, too. In movies, you need chemicals for processing. With digital, you have an LCD you should think about when the removal of your digital camera. Movies, however, use more chemicals veschestv.Hotya digital cameras expensive to buy, in the end, it is cheaper because you do not have to buy movies and obrabotki.Vy can still make a good living from digital and film cameras.
It is about who takes izobrazhenie.Odnim of the major differences I think, as with the style of photography, a discipline. You do not want to do a lot of mistake a movie due to time and financial zatrat.Film still used mostly in movies that are made today, why do you think that still the case.

This is the most practical and useful book on digital photography, you will find on the shelves.
The book is full of tips and tricks of trade, professional photographers use every day to get the perfect shots, using a digital camera is similar to the one you have. Why are their pictures look better than yours? Well, not always the camera, much of the credit to know how to use the camera you have: select the correct settings for different situations, choosing the right location, etc.
Full of examples and straight into point of advice, this book will definitely improve the quality of every shot you take. When I compare the pictures I took before I read this book with my last picture, it looks like I know with much better and more expensive, digital camera, but the only difference is the know-how, I got the book.

It is obvious that the book Kelby was too short, and he needs a lot of fluff to get to the minimum number of words. Jokes absolutely awful. This is a classic example of someone who is not funny joke. Hey Scott, leave jokes Dick normal?
This is an intermediate book. Advanced users are not going to get a lot out of it, just the main reminder of what they already know. Beginners are going to enjoy it, but they will also need another book such as understanding the impact of Peterson.
One thing I really liked, he did not spend too much time on the basics, particularly the diaphragm etc.
It was a relief.
The second thing I really liked it was written, as if we were hunting together, and I asked questions. I love this format and occasional book is very easy to read (I read it all in one sitting). In addition, he turned me on some equipment I do not know (stop down the filter, which runs from 2 to 8 stops is pretty cool, until I almost had a heart attack when I saw the price $ 300). He really stresses the importance of a tripod and shooting at dawn and dusk. I have heard these before, but somehow still disappointed in the manual photography noon. I think it’s great, because most people want pictures of the journal quality, but do not have time for it (including me).
Section at the end explains why some of the photos of “work” . I caught myself thinking I do not want to take a picture like that, some of them (he is known for his photoshop skills, not his photography skills), but it was a good basis wrapped presents in the book.
;
Finally, there were several bits of information that I found objectionable. Such as the use of F11 for portraits. This usually puts the background in focus. Another, he recommends that the shredder shred old photo CD / DVD, before throwing them away. Would not the scissors do just as well? But it is becoming more serious: He claims that “you” (the reader) will not be able to get types of frames you see in magazines. And why is that? Because even if you get up at 5:30 in the morning all the good places are already taken. And I do not think it was another of his bad jokes. I found it very negative and disappointing.
In general, I liked this book much better than many others I have seen, but he nonetheless disturb me. I think it’s useful for beginners and experienced users. Even if you know everything (who does not know, you should use a tripod?), Is a good reminder with many examples. I think the book could go a little further and gave some really useful information, rather than descriptions of all models of printers Epson.
It’s a shame, because this book really can be a 5 stars < br /> Book, but it is not responding. Kelby boasts of having written 37 books. I would prefer some outstanding than 37, which are simply good enough to get published.

I really wanted to write a glowing review to “Digital Photography Book”. . . I am looking for a good that insider tips for digital SLR cameras for a long time, so when I found a book Kelby, I was thrilled! Quick Skim showed many great tips, but after reading the first page of Chapter 1, where he spent about the phrase “TACK SHARP” I started to lose faith.
Here is an excerpt (talking about the origins of words Tack Sharp – that is “clear picture”):
“TACK means technically accurate Cibachrome Kelvin (which refers to a color temperature of light in photographs), and SHARP stands for Shutter hyperfocal At refracted polarization. Now these may seem like highly technical terms at first, but once you understand that I am completely done, it does not seem so complicated, is not it? Now, admittedly, it sounded pretty legitimate at first glance. I am mean, I just was not me, is not it? “Well, you know I do, and I bet it was that” the color temperature of light “that I put in parenthesis that helped sell the idea that it was real, not right? It’s okay, I confess, have been misled … “
This is really? Maybe his editor was asleep. He makes a lame joke from deceiving the reader, and then carries out a half point laughing at how clever he is! I tried to give him the presumption of innocence, but he continued with this “fool you, and themes in writing of false subheadings in the following sections SIX:
The real secret as Sharp Photos
” sorry for deceiving you “The Real Secret of How Sharp Photos” headline …”< br />
Perhaps even more important than
“Again, ignore this header.
It’s just a cheap bait to get you to keep reading “.
If you miss this, Throw Away Camera
” All the fake title. Do not let it throw you.
If you do it incorrectly, then blocked
“It’s not as good as the last fake headline, but we only have one page from the real content of the chapter so that I backing it off a little “.
It’s time to seriously
” I have good news: We are not only at the end of this “fake headline ‘thing, you’ll be glad to know that from here on out, and the rest of the book is not imbued with wonder inspired (lame) humor you find in these first few pages “.
Oh. . . Okay – so he loses irritants. All right. About learning.
But NO! In Chapter 2, it is now at it again! Below he describes ways to circumvent the problem of pollen dulling shades (??)< br />
“Now, there is a special photographic filter (called the Flora 61B from PhotoDynamics), which can help reduce the effects of this pollination and how to get the sharpness and reduce the graying effect, but because of U.S. Trade sanctions imposed by the Federal Trade Commission, we can no longer buy this filter direct. Especially because I totally made this whole thing. I can not believe you fell for this two chapters in a row. Seriously, how are you going to get good photos of the flower if you fall on the old Flora 61B catch? Well, I’m just teasing you, but seriously … “
: I hate to stay at a constant patrol of full paragraphs of combed cr * p when I try to learn something new! I do not care how good the “real” content, I’m not going to sift through the fertilizer to get to it!
If you find this type of humor funny, or wonder what I’m doing such a big a deal, then you will find that it’s very funny, interesting read.
If you do not like wondering whether or not the author of “pulling his leg this time,” then you probably want to quit this book from the third section.

Assuming that you have a good digital SLR, which, as usual mirror film, to provide you with the same functionality as the others have serious amateurs, EG aperture, shutter speed settings, removable lenses, etc. I would recommend you consider a combination of books and materials aimed at the universal techniques and photography, as well as “digital-ities” of your kamery.Prezhde all, as the owner of a digital SLR, you should be fully familiar with the operating manual camera. Search on Amazon. Com on the exact model of your camera to find the “advanced” manual for your camera. For example, I gave the best guides for the Nikon D70 digital SLR. (If you have a different digital SLR, just search for that 1.) This is important because digital cameras all of them within its complexity, computer software, run it. Compared with traditional film SLRs, these cameras have more “manufacturer / camera specific” details that need znat.Za this book, I also attached two digital photography guide.
They will not be able to tell you too much more than the “advanced guide” say you also that you can learn from other books of general photography, but I’ll let you judge the etom.Nakonets, I put a few books, photographs that focus on composition and basic technique. Regardless of what your equipment, photography is an art. This is not a brush, which makes the picture a masterpiece, it is the creative genius of the artist. Learning the basics of camera is only learning the absolute basics of skill. You will not have fun and enjoy the pictures while you concentrate on something other than the camera itself. Thus, not only to get a book on how to use the camera. Get a book on how to create great pictures. I put a lot of books that slishkom.Udachi!

Digital photography handbook,
This is the most useful books on digital photography I’ve seen in a while. Each page of this book has some of the scenarios and ways to work with is to get the best shot.
It also covers many different ways to overcome what ever adverse shooting conditions, you can be. Kelby Talk about cheap ways to overcome the situation. He also spoke about the more expensive ways to overcome the situation. For each subject, where he discusses the scenario there are usually a few pictures to show you each effect of each decision will have on the photo. Each subject is covered very well about two pages. Photography is outstanding and in color.
Kelby covers all types of digital photography from portrait to landscape, lighting, flash, various types of digital cameras.
Kelby covers the use of flash, the construction of the studio from scratch, portraits, like a pro, shooting landscapes like a pro, shooting a wedding like a pro, shooting travel like a pro, shooting macro like a pro, pro tips to get photos, and more photos of recipes that will help you get the picture. All these topics are covered very well.
Book is written in easy to understand, easy to read and humorous. Each theme is about 1 page in length.
I feel I intermediate photographer, and I can say that it will continue to be very useful for me. I need it for the beginner to intermediate photographer.
The book is small enough to carry in a bag camera equipment. This book is packed with information and very useful advice.
By Anton Tobias amazon.com
This book really is brilliant premise and here’s how Scott Kelby describes it: “If you and I were on the shoot and you asked me,` When I use the flash, the background for whom I’m shooting turns black. How do I fix this? “I would not give you a lecture on flash relations, or start a discussion on flash synchronization and rear curtain sync. I just said: “To reduce the shutter speed 1 / 60 seconds. That should do it. “Well, that’s what this book is all about: you and me to hunt, where answers to questions, give advice and share secrets I learned as I would a friend, without explanation, and technical equipment photo speak.”
Each page contains a single concept on how to make your photos better. Every time you turn the page, you’ll learn another pro setting, tool, or trick to transform your work with images in the gallery of paintings.
If you get tired of shooting that are “good”, but if you’re tired of seeing pictures in magazines and thinking: “Why do not my shots look like?, Then this book is for you.
This is not a book about theory, complete mixing of the jargon and detailed concepts. This is the book on which button to press which is suitable for use and when to use it. That nearly 200 more, most well-photographic “tricks of the trade”, this book gets you shooting much nicer, sharper, brighter, more professional-looking photos every time “

More Recipes photo, which will help you “Shot
By Janine Smith amazon.com
Like Mr.-Kelby in the bestselling Digital Photography first book, this book is a gem. Each page is a single board, clearly explained and illustrated.
It’s like sitting next to the best photographer you know, while he explains that the transmission you need, when and how to use it. No matter what brand of your camera, what your level of experience or a big budget, you will find the book useful.
Basic Book 2 covers how to set up and use studio lighting, flash, macro, wedding, portraits and much, much more. At the end of the 16 are “recipes” for specific types of shots, with all the details that you need to know.
Keep one in the camera bag.
It is not only full information, it is encouraging. And a great gift for the photographer in your life.
By Conrad J. Obregon amazon.com
Photo tip a short guide on how to do something in photography – “put a softbox as close as possible to this issue for the soft light” – not trying to put the training in any broader context.
; It is a small photography book, which contains tips on using flash, studio photography, portraits, landscapes, weddings, travel, macro, and that should probably be called a collection.
There is a final section in which Kelby takes special pictures and shows their views in their adoption. Each tip is less than a small page in length and includes illustrative photographs.
Kelby is a Photoshop guru turned photography guru, and his image, while good, certainly not inspiring. Be careful: Many people put off its superficial sense of humor that he displays throughout the book (for example, a committee to create complex Sounding Gear Studio titles).
I do not like the end of the book, because that they do not put photos of technology in a broader context, the reader learns the principle that he may apply in all circumstances. “Give a man a fish ….”, may have been written about travel books. For example, in the space of a few pages, the author tells us to take portraits with wide angle lenses, and then said that we use telephoto lenses. What might be called a comprehensive book helps us understand the concerns that arise in the process of choosing the focal length for portraits.
Most councils that Kelby provides that they are indeed very basic and will be familiar to all who have spent any time at all teaching methods. (I recognize that some value is reminded of a small technology, although one may be also recalled reading a more comprehensive book.) Some tips repeated, as he had told us to keep shooting after sunset, or buy a normal lens to shoot quickly in dim places where you can not use flash.
Some tips, even contradictory, but when he says that the reader does not cut chin macro picture, and then does just that in the future. I particularly resented the so-called tip to buy a book, Kelby, which just happens to have been edited and which I found interesting, but not necessarily read.
On the other hand, this book that you can pick up and read for several minutes and then put.
If you think this is important for the quality of instruction, it certainly fills the bill.

This is a good book at the price, but I guess I was looking for a little more.
There are some good tips, but the book is incredibly short. I went through all this in about 2 hours. He gives good tips for working with Flash and the creation of the studio about 1 / 3 of the book. Last 2 / 3 filled with photography tips with pictures, and then explain how to get the same picture. Most of the advice I found was fairly simple, although I have not learned something here and there. That would be a good book, if I was completely new to digital photography.
It is well written, and his advice is good, but I was looking for something a little more depth than this,

Hmm, Canon Powershot S60 is now more than 2 1 / 2 years, so maybe you have recorded the wrong model number. . . Consumer Reports in November 2006 took the Canon Powershot A620, as the best compact digital camera. He became almost a legend for longevity at the top of lists of various consumers.
It seems that this model was replaced by A630, which I would expect an equally popular. A640 looks quite similar and shares “600″ series numbering, so I think that this is just another updated version of the now classic A620.
It looks almost the same, except for the fact that 10-megapixel kameroy.U I have several DSLR Nikon, and I would buy a Canon A630 or A640 for sebya.A620 was estimated at about twice as good as any battery. I hope, A630 and A640 are just as good. Buy 1 GB SanDisk Ultra II and Extreme III cards. You need to increase capacity and write speed to fully realize the advantages of your camera. If you are looking for a quality digital camera for $ 300, you can try to get stolen from a crack head. Nikon D80 is a relatively inexpensive camera. I shoot with Canon xti now and love the results. Both cameras are in the range of 900-1100 dollars. Now you can get yourself a good point and shoot camera, but I would not call these professional cameras use because of your lack of control.
They can produce a good shot pictures like if you learn how to use the camera pravilno.Krome addition, you can have more experience, if you want to enter the profession.
There is much to learn about cameras before you can get professional quality photos. You may also want to know a thing or two about printing.

First, the most important thing to know in digital photography, what you want to photograph. I took a digital photo class and it seemed that everyone knew what they wanted to shoot or are already doing what they wanted. I had no idea, I knew that I wanted to be photographed.
But after some time there, and experiment with our various tasks, I realized that I love doing portrait and landscape photography.
If you do not know what you want to do, it’s much harder to succeed in photography.

In the usual style of Scott Kelby, he wrote these books as a collection of pointers to other photographers. On each page in all three books are written with a pointer or a tip on every page.
As Scott wrote a prelude:
“If we’d have to shoot, but you asked me:” Hey, how can I get this flower to be in the spotlight, but I want the background out Focus? I would not stand there and give you a lecture about aperture, shutter speed and depth of field. In real life, I would simply say: “Get your telephoto lens, set the F / stop to / / 2. 8, focus on the flower, and fire away. You say,” OK “and you’ll get a shot. That’s what this book is all about. Book you and I shooting, and I answer questions, give you advice and share their secrets I learned as I am with another, without any technical explanations and without all the techno-photo-speak “.
< ; br /> With this in mind, this also means that he does not live deep inside each tip or a pointer to explain _why_ everything works as it does. This is for the reader to find further explore the theme in other reference books.
Surprisingly for me, it works very well! I totally enjoyed reading these books, I would say that I became a much better photographer after reading all the tips.
Book 1 is quite general in the section covering how to create really sharp pictures to describe wedding photography. This book, for me, should be in each shelf digital photographers. This book is also clearly aimed at novice photographers.
Next in Book 2 and 3, they are slightly different, in particular about how they are written.
These books also have a “pointer, and feedback ‘model, but more information can be found here. Book 2, for example, carefully describe that equipment for use when using the flash and how to set up mini-studios and 3 of the book goes even further, how to shoot specific subjects.
This box set offer any digital photographer’s helicopter view of how to use your digital camera, the best way to get “professional” pictures.
The first of these books – like all Book by Scott Kelby – offer little insight into what to think about when shooting digital photographs. Kelby and it does so with a great sense of humor that makes his book a joy to read.
By Byron Dillard amazon.com
These books are aimed at beginners DSLR.
If you have done a lot of pictures or read on this topic, you will not find much new material real here. Fortunately, Scott Kelby avoids traps mired in operational specifics of the equipment he discusses (not a paraphrase Owners Guide). Books on the merits, the light heart and fun (with lots of conventional humor Kelby).
By A. Sinharoy amazon.com
These books are great for beginners who have already invested usually in fancy camera gear and would like to know – how this damn thing work? Why do not my photos (weddings, children, landscapes, flowers) appear either as a pro? Well, Kelby provides quick recipes to cook a lot of things and usually occurs order and enough information to get more than average shots. Suffice it to please you and your subject, without going into details of technology. And that’s great for beginners and for most people. . .

I bought this set after reading the previous reviews for it. I must say that this set is amazing. I just read my first book, and almost half of the second book, and the results incredible. I used this book as it should be linked. This is no more and no less.
If you want to know how to set the camera to shoot at sunset, then he will tell you. That explains a little about the different settings, such as the aperature, shutter speed, etc.
But it is not too deep. Just enough to understand that he did. I recommend this book to all that is ready to take the next step in digital photography.
By injanier
Your instructor is teaching a class or, perhaps more useful source of information than YA, but I would say that the foundations are: • Aperture, shutter speed and ISO. What they are, how they affect the exposure, and how they affect the image quality. Be able to calculate the equivalent exposure. • Focal length. What is it that normal, broad, and the body, how to choose. • Light. Quality of different types of light, and how to use light and shadow in your favor. • camera. Different types and that all elements do. • White balance. What is it, how to use it, how do you know when you is not so. • Focus. How to control it. In addition, the depth of field. • Imaging parameters: resolution, sharpness, color balance, brightness, contrast, dynamic range, color saturation. • MP. What are they and how they affect the resolution for viewing and pechati.Eto should get you started. Please note that this is just technical stuff, which is part of the picture you can get a reading.
There, another world of knowledge about the artistic aspects – subject, composition, formulation, timing, and using all that technical stuff is actually making good shots, which is best done in the classroom and criticism.
By ZioZambe

So, the first couple quick disclaimers. . .
1. I am a big fan of Kelby and I think that his previous two volumes so much fun to read and packed full of useful information.
2. I, like most big “explosion on my dollar”.
3. I’m not pro and not complete, but an amateur or fall somewhere in between.
If I find it too simplistic, professionals and serious shutterbugs, will probably be very disappointed.
If I find it too difficult, beginning readers are likely to do the same. This may provide a good measure as to whether this book is for you or not.
Now go to the actual book itself. Like many others, I ordered on the status of preparation for release and eagerly awaiting delivery at the time I ate a whole book quickly in one sitting. Readers of other books Kelby will recognize the same user-friendly style, conversational tone and jokes.
For those that wonder if Kelby really can “do it again.” . . Reply loud – “kind”. Here’s why. . .
First, the basics and Bad. . . .
This book has the same length and general style, as in the previous two books, however, the reader will immediately recognize some of the content used as “filler” and a bit of “fluff” here and there . For example, one page / board is dedicated to “cleaning” item to the shooting, another indication of “remove distracting elements from the picture. . . Duh! Does this really represent a tip? I think not. In addition, there are a few tips on how to use the camera (Canon and Nikon users), such things as cleaning dust or off signal. . . Personally speaking, if I wanted information I would just read my instructions.
Other less impressive tips included using a tripod to tack clear pictures of the product plus some information that basically reorientation of the content of the prior books, such as filters, essential for the purchase or use a neutral density filter. In addition, several were disappointed that some councils are composed of not more than one short paragraph, or only 1-2 sentences in entirity.
Finally, the chapter on how to choose the right lens is perfect for those seeking to acquire new DSLR or buy, and the most experienced users will find it a bit too simplistic for the whole chapter. In essence, he describes each lens type (ie, increase, macro, fisheye, etc. ..), then when to use each.
It also includes how to clean lens, how and why to use manual focus, the difference between the simple against the increase, etc.. .
Well. . .
On the background of all the above, I still rate the book because of the very interesting and readable format, excellent examples. . . And, of course, that we all come here. . . Actual advice.
There are some good scattered throughout that more experienced users will likely assess – though much less than in previous books. Overall, this book is more introductory in nature than the other two volumes, but still there are many large and reminders are always some real golden nuggets that make all the difference, how to get creative, white balance, how to get that effect without a star filter (no – you’ve saved the cost of this whole book and never have to hassle with this filter, again, just by reading this page alone! how to create great ideas are popular in the product shots and more.
, the bottom line…
Good books and is a low price. Best suited for beginners, but serious shutterbugs probably still find a few gems. Not quite in the same standard, The first two volumes, but perhaps the most useful of all three complete beginners or those currently buying the camera and lens, etc…
Targeted more for the average user ( For example, Lensbaby coverage) rather than “yes” or a serious camera buff, but everyone can find what they wanted to make the purchase price and being well worth the effort.
It recommend for beginners or those buying a new camera and lens, etc…

Others are doing everything right, but miss the main point of all – you need to remember about digital photography is that photos, only with a specific type oborudovaniya.Uznayte more about photography, it really is not that difficult. Things like: Aperture – another name for otkrytiya.Nechetnoy numbering no more than how big the opening compared to the lens focal length (you do not need to know what that means yet – there is the lens). For example, if you have a 100 mm lens, and the size of the opening of 50mm, that the size of the opening / aperture F2 (100 divided by 50 = 2) and so on.
It also means that the smaller the number, the more open and more light enters the camera and the shutter naoborot.Skorost: Devices built into the camera, which opens the light-sensitive area for controlled amount of time. Rooms are usually fractions of a second, eg, 60 = 1 / 60 sec, 1000 = 1 / 1000 seconds and so on, until you reach the long exposure (which simply means how long the light sensor ‘exposed’ to the light passes through the lens). At large time numbers are to whole seconds. Method numbers increase or decrease approximately twice the previous number, or will on the contrary, half the previous nomera.Ostanovka: every “difference in shutter speed or aperture is called” stop. “The camera can be changed in terms of stopping the third part – look at what such as changing rooms, as you change nastroyki.Ya dwell on this because you need to do some of your own rabot.Delo to not be afraid of the terminology and equipment. I appreciated this book is set at 3 stars.
If you pull out the first 7 pages of 1, without reading them, it becomes a 4-star set.
If someone’s hand, then a thick black Sharpie and they read them for you, blacking out all the nonsense, sarcasm and inappropriate suggestions, you’ll have 4. 5 star set of books for the library pictures.
The author begins in these first seven pages, trying to convince the reader that the books that he / she read were written by socially challenged for 10 years. After that, he has three volumes, to try to get out of this hole and just when he seems to be in this position, he manages to slip back in.
If I read this online, I would suspend those efforts, p. 3. Given the long list of thanks, it is surprising that none of these people were able to convince the author that he is neither funny nor witty. Is not work a publisher? Tip: When you feel the need to apologize for the mind, or tell the reader where the funny part. . .
If you can get around this nonsense, this three-volume set is an excellent reference for those of us who do not shoot professionally (ie days). Each page has an image and text show a certain point, divided into chapters on the subject (wedding, travel, portrait, etc.). This makes it easy to read for the first time, and provides a quick refresher on a particular topic you intend to photograph.
The author focuses on quick glimpses of what to do when presented with a situation without the support of an explanation of why you want to do it that way. Scientists may find this approach disturbing (no evidence), but it has its value. This makes the process quick overview of just that.

I like Scott’s first two volumes.
But this one is lost in the repetition, filler and useless information. I’m not sure what the author of photographers trying to aim, as a rule, should be experienced photographers, this is the third volume.
Some observers noted that it is good for beginners, but I do not think it has some information in advance, and some very simple things, and also store references to the first and second volumes.
Good:
If you are a product photo, then you have some information in this book.
Bad:
Repeating the theme: a few examples. . .
1. Sharpest Aperture: We already talked about this in the first two books of the same information is shared as a theme.
2. Waking up early in the morning.
3. Most of the topics already covered in the sport.
4.
As usual, the screen shot B and H photo and video site, which is not relevant to the topic. Ooh, wait! This time it’s different page not the home page. Why do we require photos of this place while the author tries to explain the myth of the card speed.
Filler: That’s interesting. Here are a few examples of these points are covered, as a full page of topics in the book.
1.
There is a separate whole topic of how to change the lens. (Maybe that’s 4, Scott will discuss how to properly charge the battery installation)
2. How to clean the lens.
3. Shortcut to format the memory card.
4. Reset camera settings.
Let’s go! These topics are discussed in detail in the instruction manuals for each DSLR / lenses.
5.
As usual, too much advertising websites and expensive mechanisms.
I was waiting for a true professional information / tips is beyond the scope of Volume 1 and 2, but not the same information / filler. This book is certainly not for me.
If you really want to get some interesting tips, you can check `Understanding the impact of:. . . ‘Brian Peterson.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first in this series.
The second book is even better.
But the third book seemed a bit forced.
Goal by relying on each book, though in some sections. However, a whole chapter devoted to lenses in the third volume was definitely something seemed to be beneath me.
The section on product photo and about 20 pages tells the same story. How to format a memory card, the importance of updating firmware, etc. Everything seems to Volume 1 of the material, not Volume 3.
There are many different times in this book that Scott Kelby his website link for more information, which makes me wonder if this book is more a car for his site. Why not just include the information in the book, instead I put the book down and will be in a URL.
However, a number of part 3 is still an excellent choice, and of themselves make you an expert in any situation. I am sure that the author, if he knew that these books are so successful, they will be indexed in different ways.
But, I already felt like an expert after volume 2 and it seemed that I did not know a lot of volume of 3.

After reading the first two books, I can not help but feel that this is one of disappointment. Very little information was very useful for the amateur or beginning / intermediate photographer, as the focus went to the product and professional advice to the studio.
If you are a person who studies photography (or fans), you would not use these heads wide (in most cases, they recommend what additional equipment to buy, which can be expensive and of limited use for non-professional), and if you’re a professional, I think you already know almost everything that is said there.
Then the lens head was very thin on information and its contents consisted mainly of the knowledge that someone was reading the third book will already know, given that most people have read the other two volumes (and probably any number of magazines, blogs, etc . Etc). While the other two books really well (especially the first one, which I highly recommend), though I would not with this one.
It will sell, but I dare say that this happens on merit not on the first series of its own value.

I’m beginning to think * I know what I’m doing when it comes to photography. I took this as a sign that I should go back to basics and to learn from scratch. I know from experience that Scott Kelby wrote the book is impressive (his Lightroom book, for example, extra large), and it continues the same tradition.
Problem with teaching photography in general, that it scares . Most books will describe the esoteric theory, and that drives most people nuts.
If I have any representation of normal photographer, I’ll look at photos and go “this is great – as they did?” and you want a good example, without diving into the theory and much more. I just want to take the best photo possible that I can with what I have.
Layout of the book is simple enough – as in a cookbook.
There’s a great picture, and then describe how this photo was taken.
The strength of each example, it is not only easy to follow, but it explains enough theory to understand the concepts and apply in other situations. Most books do not – they tend to lose you on the specifics.
Kelby books are written in the beginner in mind, and even as high as in those with intermediate skills. I do not think that experienced professionals to learn much from these books, but they are worth their weight in gold.
The book is a series of digital photos that I recommend to those interested in doing more with their cameras and photos. Not all of us may be professional photographers, but we can make our images look better than they are now.

It depends on the movie screen formate.Na very difficult to say.
But the press is not more revealing. With regard to 35 mm is almost impossible to distinguish from glazam.Ya can say in general, if the original image is large format film or not.
By gatewaycityca
Digital is not better than the movie.
The fact that the movie can still take a much better picture quality than digital. . .
But most people do not know the difference, because they are just snapshots.
They just want a quick and cheap way to get fotografii.V as an example. I climbed into the mountains with a friend, and when we were there I took a few pictures with my fully manual 35 mm camera microns. In fact, this antique cameras, C3 Argus. When I got the pictures developed a few days ago, I showed them my friend and he asks why the picture is so clear? “He is so accustomed to the rough digital image now that he really surprised to see how sharp and clear image from the film . I explained to him that the film is often better than digital…
But most people have no idea about that, because they’ve just been brainwashed consumer magazines to think that “digital is better.” Moreover, people who normally only to take photos and bring in their cards to get the pictures printed at Walmart really don care that much about quality…
They just want a quick, cheapest way to get their “picture.” This is not the best pictures, but only a few I took that day.

Digital cameras are usually easy to get overexposed, and they do not handle mixed lighting conditions and at all. Moreover, they tend to give a very cold tone to the images. I know that I’m going to vote thumbs down…
But it’s true. You can get much better pictures with film. And as far as detail goes, digital is not that medium and large format film can be done. This is a picture which I took back.
It’s black and white film of 120, which I designed myself.
The actual printing is better to scan, and negative so sharp that I could zoom in and zoom in on my enlarger and you can clearly see all the other side of the lake.

It is easy. Point, shoot, and pechat. No I thought we all agreed that there is more real than just pictures to the camera and pressing a button. Well, maybe some people think it is more I think. I have a digital camera, too…

Yes. . . . . I can not say that I do not care, honestly. I do not spend my days analyzing fingerprints eyeloupe. Moore’s Law will catch up to digital and after the movie sooner rather than later. Thus, in distinction to argue that we see now, just give the technology a few years. This is not a question of if – and when.
The movie has a use for digital (can be), and it still does its job well – but – the discussion is now part of the past, seriously.
If you are photographer – go photograph something and leave the discussion about which is better – film or digital (who cares?). Take anything you want. . . . . . . Since none of the medium is ideal, and each has its own characteristic shortcomings, you can always say with a fairly close examination, that the original environment. Digital has assumed many applications the film simply because it is more convenient. What is the average better than a small matter, in most cases, as long as he horosh.V those few applications where image quality a primary concern, medium or large format film is still the medium of choice. On the other hand, digital images completely replaced film in astronomical research, because its sensitivity is much luchshe.Vy see more movies shot in digital cameras as a suitable and becoming more affordable as more experienced filmmakers began with the environment. I suspect, many manufacturers sticking with film, because it is more familiar, and they are not ready to experiment with new technologies in a multimillion-dollar production. Films are often digital editing has already returned to film for release. Studios would be glad to get rid of cumbersome, expensive film prints, but most theaters have digital projectors. There are a lot of subjective quality assessment methods, and different people have different opinions about the relative balance between each of these in the evaluation of films and tsifrovyh.Odnim less subjective measures of image resolution, which usually boils down to a measure of how many lines per mm can be solved, then the measure is called the spatial frequency. With digital, it is easy to calculate, because the line is required in two pixels, but you already know how many pixels the sensor can be solved in any direction. Simple arithmetic takes sebya.Dlya film shooting test requires a special test card, and then visually assessing rezultatov.Na the moment the film looks to have the game won hands down, the equivalent of a 50MP even an unusual film. What we know: what seemed to be a significant advantage does not seem to make more raznitsy.Prichina this is the lens.
If a good film can resolve more than 160 pairs in the line mm, and the 13MP sensor is about 63 lpmm, what can be done lens? Without boring you with the math, you can compare the system of permits for film and digital cameras.
If we used a moderately good lens capable of resolving 50 lpmm and film 160 can lpmm, then together they would achieve a system resolution of about 48 lpmm, that the film will give you the 8MP. 14MP FX sensor with the same lens system will permit about 39 lpmm, as well as providing an effective image size of about 5. 5MP.Posmotrel in this way, it is clear that one of the reasons is becoming increasingly difficult to tell the difference between film and digital, as the lens and sensor system, the difference is not so great. People who say they can say, maybe joking sami.Esli would you be able to afford much higher quality lenses, which could decide to say 70lpmm, the system resolution, a 14MP sensor would reach 47lpmm, as well as the effective size images will then be close to 7. 6MP, now very close to our history with the installation of a low-resolution lens. I suspect that most people would not really be able to distinguish, because there really is not much on this urovne.Esli you have returned to relatively normal lens, the sensor is slightly less than 30MP FX to achieve a result in the resolution of about 85% of the film.

Save money by printing your photos depends on the quality you expect.
It is quite difficult to reproduce the lab print quality on a standard all-in-one photo printer color, as many of them approached.
But there are printers, as iP90v Canon PIXMA for $ 250, that’ll get you there. I prefer the Epson R2400 slightly less than three times the price. You get yourself a color profile for your printer and monitor that is compatible with a color camera profile, and you can make great prints.
But the cost will still apply as you have to buy paper and ink for your printer, colorimeter for monitor calibration (recommended) and a color management software to monitor and printer, not to mention the time you put into ensuring that you see on your monitor, that prints . This can be a pain. IMO, to make their own prints has strength, if that’s what you want, but in the long run it will cost you more. Costco makes prints from digital media (eg, CD or SD / CF cards) 8 cents printing on photo paper, 5×7 (real photo paper, not photo paper printer). I get the prints from Costco all the time, and they are loads better than I get from my Canon PIXMA MP600.
If I could afford the Epson R2400, I like to do their own printing.
But if I do not need, Costco is cheaper, and I do not fuss around with color profilyami.Est not so much a digital photography course, as one, I think you are looking for on the Internet.
But there are many online resources, offering comprehensive instructions and advice to all. I link couple below.

The trouble is that digital photography was not around long enough to be there for the final time history should be written. Although Sony were thinking about digital in early 1990 (Mavica?) Digital cameras, did not become widely available until Ed decade. My first digicam, a compact, that woould call now come with my computer in 2000 and as nuch Kodak compact camera film at the time.
It 1megapixels, and I used it as nothing more than a toy. My first “serious” digital camera Olympus bridge ‘camera – a good model at the time, but still only two. 2 pl, which I cited at the end of 2000. In 2003, I again upgraded bridge Minolta, what with the 5MP, so you can see how quickly things are changing. DSLRs only became common around the end of 2003 and 2004. I brought the first (and so far only) DSLR in early 2005 and it is 6. 5MP (enough, in my opinion).
But only 2 or 3 years later, 10 and 12 trbyla common with some cameras went up to 15. I say all this only so you can see how fast the world moves.

great tutorial! probably the best one on the account I have come across so far in YouTube. No, for the record, you do not need a pocket wizard or RT32 module for wireless measurements.
As long as you have any type of wireless system startup, you can simply connect the transmitter x sync meter and you’re done. I admit that it is much more convenient, not all that attached, but compare that steep price PW and special meter and / or module.

I am a professional photographer, and when I decided to switch to digital, I bought a dozen books on the subject. This is one leaving everything else in the dust.
One of his greatest strengths is the fact that the author explains, digital photos through a link on the movie. This allows you to quickly understand the new, comparing it to friends.
But if you’re new to photography, this book is still for you. Written by a real gift for explaining complicated processes in such a way that makes them easy to understand and utilize. And he covers what you need to know, without putting about sleep.
I read omnivorously, but I’m rarely impressed enough to write a review.
If I could keep one book on photography – digital or film – this would be it.
And thank the author for claiming that the digital photos created with digital cameras, not the scanner. I’m so tired of books that are supposedly about digital photography, which is really about the digital manipulation of film photography.
Do yourself a big favor: if you are interested in this matter, buy the book. You will not be disappointed.

As a teacher of digital photography and Imagaging, I have found it difficult to recommend texbooks, which include all the most important issues of data collection, transmission, printing, storage, archiving and retrieval of digital images. I do need to list a few names to cover these various issues. Ben Long is not only work with full Digital Photgraphy, but he does so in a very concise, logical and understandable manner. This book is timely, informative, accurate and thorough. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to jump to the art of digital photography. I especially praise its use for educational value. I replace the text in the next year with this one.
By Jeri Ann Payne amazon.com
I found Ben Long Full digital picture perfectly written above digital imaging technology of today! What movie character best photographer, I had my eye on the latest advances in digital photography for quite a long time, and this book will help anyone, experienced or a beginner to understand a good understanding of what comprises your digital photos. This letter does not go into the specifics of all digital cameras in today’s market, there are many different review sites online equipment for handling this problem. Instead, the book contains excellent material on how digital cameras work, what components are common and present in different models of how to compare the camera to the specific requirements of the shooting, “similarity” and “differences” between the digital photography and traditional film-based photography. In addition, it gives a good overview of the foundations of photography, which apply to the images in any environment.
The book includes a CD ROM to the actual pictures of the sample, and presented in a textbook manner, so that you can actually try to explain the methods and explore for themselves on your computer or monitor and / or installation of the scanner equipment, quality and results of photo editing textbooks and etc., which are presented in the book.
There are great lessons of Adobe Photoshop for editing images is included, as well as a demo version of this popular program images on a CD. I could wander about on this book, but let me summarize and say that if you’re serious about digital photography and / or are interested in making the transition from film to digital photography or just want to get the best results from your digital equipment, this book should greatly help you to achieve your goals. . . Highly recommended!

This book is not a very good all-in-1 first book for those who are beginning to interfere with digital photography. This is especially true for those who know about photography at the same time.
There are two main reasons: firstly, it does not have color illustrations in the book to illustrate the idea, most people really benefit from them. Secondly, it is written by a technical writer, not the photographer.
Most people would be better served by well-illustrated book, written by a photographer, with less emphasis on digital and more on photos. Selection will be Freeman’s Complete Guide to Digital Photography (good depth, but assumes some knowledge of photography fundamentals) or Bavister digital photos (large, concise, clear the initial introduction of the photograph and the digital aspects).
You will notice that the reviews here, while positive, are written by experienced photographers who want to learn about digital and technical aspects, the people who read a lot of other books already, and a teacher, so it is only complement face to face training.
So if your needs meet them, this book may be better for you than others, I recommend.
By John L. Hemingway amazon.com
This book has already attracted a lot of times, but I can not resist adding to them.
As its title advertises, this is really very complete book, covering almost all aspects of digital photography. Needless to say, “full”, not necessarily a virtue, but it’s not a problem at all with the “Complete digital photography.” This is an outstanding bit of work.
By Ben Long writes very clearly, it has a hard material, and an excellent sense of how best to organize it. In addition, the book is very well prepared and richly illustrated with diagrams and before and after photos. Accompanting CD includes effective training materials and sample photos in relation to the text.
Like other reviewers, the transition from film to digital photography, I discovered that much of what I know, do not apply: the depth of field, color, white balance and resolution, for example, all take on different aspects of shooting digitally. Long enough theory provides the reader can understand why this is happening, but never loses touch with the practical consequences of the theory. This is manifested in how to open a book chapter sequence of actions. From the description of a digital camera works – bright, the most accessible description I’ve seen, by the way – Long lines of a short discussion of the main picture, and then how to evaluate the image (eg, noise, sharpness). Only then did he take, how to choose a digital camera, but the training paid off, because the reader has a much clearer idea of the consequences of his / her choice will have on the way.
This is the main strength of the book . Whether discussing the shooting of digital photos and editing them on your computer, Long always makes a clear connection between the camera settings or software tool and its implications for the image.
It does this by telling the reader not only how to make something happen, and explain why this is happening. What examples in the text and CD books, the reader has ample opportunities for active learning in this way.
There are two minor flaws in this book. First, the discussion of Long’s image editing software based on Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Photoshop Elements. This is understandable, given the predominance of the two programs in their respective niche markets, but it will leave readers who use other software to fend for themselves at times. Secondly, although the book is copyrighted 2005, Long uses Photoshop Elements two. Later versions (the latest is version 4, version 3 was available long before 2005), significant improvements, however, includes many features of Photoshop and tools. Readers with elements of 3 or 4 should always check to see if the functions of the length limits are now available in Photoshop Elements, too.
For those of you who are serious about remote digital photography especially since someone laying cash for digital SLR cameras, this is certainly a book in your library.

I picked up this book and other Kelby (digital photo books) based on feedback from this site and advice from several forums, photos. When comparing the two, this is not a book contest Miotke wins hands down. This does not mean that Kelby’s book is awful, it is in fact very well.
Betterphoto guide provides a comprehensive overview of digital photography and explains the foundation on which it is based. Technical elements, such as exposure to light and clearly explained in easily understandable and concise manner.
As I understand the various components rose, I quickly moved away from automatic settings on my camera (Canon Powershot A630) and the quality of my paintings has increased.
Another important component of the book is devoted to the artistic elements of photography (composition ). What, how and why all discussed, and all the proposals have a direct effect. After reading this book, I was able to gain a better picture with better focus and, in addition, have gained widespread recognition and understanding of each other.
There are also chapters that discuss specific components of a digital camera. This helps the reader to become “acquainted” with its specific model. Configuration file and there meaning are also discussed and will help the reader to decide what the right at him (if one in the chamber, which allows a choice). Digital camera buyer’s guide is included at the end of the book that provides very valuable advice.
This book is aimed at beginners and is an excellent choice for DSLR and P and owners. My only caveat that it will leave you wanting more sophisticated equipment and more time to conduct new habits. Er. . I mean hobby (Kelby time).
In general, I find this beautifully illustrated book that provides a solid foundation for launching the photographic work.

Many books these days to equate digital photos with Photoshop, which to me is a waste of time.
If you do not take good pictures to start with the end result will not be good no matter how many after precessing you do on your computer. This book really talks about photography techniques in a very accessible fashion. Aperture, shutter speed, ISO, white balance, soft de-wonder, but equal attention is paid to content and Compositon photos. In relative newcomers serious photography, I discovered, explanantions to the book and illustrations will be very good. Highly recommended!
By Vaguely Artistic amazon.com
Most books on digital photography began at the beginning – what to look for in a digital camera. Most of the books that will teach you how to use the camera function – F stop, shutter speed, etc. – Focus on digital SLR cameras.
But what if you’re somewhere in the middle – you already have a digital camera with manual settings, but do not know your hole from the white balance? Then this book is for you.
This was the only book that I really found that shows, step by step, the who, what, where, when and why as a digital camera. Easy to read (this is not one of those 400-page “bible”), with the exact pictures you through every step of the way and “concessions” at the end of each chapter to give you practical experience, you will see improvement in your photos at once. Once you grasp freddom and control you really have over your pictures you want to take your camera everywhere and apply what you learned.
I highly recommend this book, even if you have just read a very informative captions that accompany each photo Int books.

This excellent, well-written introduction to digital photography. Miotke explains the basic principles of photography, and I think he did a lot of teaching, which helps to make the explanations very clear and systematic. I found the chapters on exposure, aperture, shutter speed, ISO is particularly useful, since I never fully understood how these relate to each other.
There are many photographs illustrating how aperture, shutter speed, ISO, etc. Impact on the image, as well as plenty of tips that could be considered the main parameters, and how you can change them depending on the circumstances. He also has a long section on the composition, again with the illustrations.
There are some things that he does not extend to which I would be interested in – e. , He does not explain that different types of lenses for digital SLR cameras (for example, that means 20 mm. S. 30 mm. Mean). Each chapter contains assignments designed to help see that one in a camera capable of.
It assumes that you are either compact digital cameras or digital SLR and tailors his explanations of each type of camera.

I think in the future will not be observers, who have a greater dynamic range, and digital images that capture the choice to display. Now that you see on the screen is a lot like what you see in the photo paper – ranging from black to white. Even if the image file captured a large range of squeezing it into line with the range displayed on the monitor, it looks boring.
The eye can see more range of brightness.

I work in a professional lab and saw the fall of film processing in rapid decline. In my experience, it seems that it is mainly photographers and students who hold the processing of the film alive. To really understand the principles of Photoshop, it is important to understand the traditional dark room, so many schools still offer (or require) classes using plenki.Tam will always be a market niche for film photographers, but most photographers switched to digital, because it can be cheaper, faster and easier to pass. I think the biggest difference we see in the next few years, reducing, and printing. How books and journals to switch to digital readers (eg, light and iPad), people will expect a more timely content, which would require shooting digital, just so it can be shared quickly.
By Judas
Perhaps the biggest change to the photos can be on the road ispolzuyutsya.Obychno photos you took pictures on film, he sent them away to be processed, and when you get them back you put them in an album. You looked at the album once or twice, and then put it in shkaf.V these days, you take pictures, and you publish it on Facebook or Flickr. Many people see their work and can comment on it. Your iPhone / IPod can store thousands of photos, which you can wear it round with you and show lyudyam.Trudno say where the future will go, but without doubt exchange will be even easier than it is today.

Photos will continue to flourish. This is a very popular artform.
It’s so big and has many different “social circles” in nem.Film will live, heck there are people who still make Tintypes, and it is a process, which was the peak of popularity during the Civil War.
The film will be a niche market, which to some extent, may be a good veschyu.Tsifrovaya picture has great qualities, but not to sell a “cure all”, as the principles of photography will always be treated as a good technique, as well as from a creative standpoint.
As for the idea, go out and shoot and see what happens from that. Do not shoot creates nothing, shooting will create something to.Moi two tsenta.Mark

Having three daughters, documenting their childhood, with pictures is a real priority for me.
But I really do not have enough knowledge about how to take good photos – I have always relied on the automatic settings on my camera and photos seemed normal. In an attempt to learn more about photography, I bought this book along with two others.
The book is certainly the most useful for me. I was having difficulty packing my mind around the concepts of aperture and ISO, but this book really helped me to understand! Each picture listed shutter speed, aperture and ISO, which helped me to see that these things were done to affect the picture looked. In addition, the pictures were so encouraging and gave me tons of ideas on the composition.
Assignments at the end of each chapter were useful in developing their skills.
The book was very pleasant to read, and it is certainly a book for parents who want to become better photographers! My only wish is that this photo also shows the type of lens was used (so that I could buy it and the lenses that professionals use!).

If you just want to get fancy images of your child when he passes through the stages of childhood, or if you really intend to make the photos more than a passion, and business, then this book will transport you to the desired level. Each page will give you pleasure for amazing images of children. Various contributing photographers offer individual treatments for their subjects to show you different that plesaing. I thought this book was a good read.
It covers many issues in the field of photography and gives the highlights and tips on many fronts.
I was disappointed with their treatment of the depth of field, which is that the center of attention.
They argue that the diaphragm (aperture) determines the depth of field, and discuss it over several pages.
It was only 196 pages, where they note that the focal length affects depth of field. Focal length of the discussion should be in the depth of field discussion. With a wide angle lens you are going to have long depth of field, as well as using a telephoto lens, you’ll have a shallow depth of field. Many authors make this mistake and send the fans wild goose chase, since they do not have the proper lens to get the depth of field they want.
Below are the notes I took for himself in this book. I hope you find them useful.
The shutter speed can freeze any movement, or cause erosion.
The faster the shutter speed, the more likely to freeze the motion. On the high end:
* Kid roaming 1 / 250
* Children working 1 / 500
* waving child, 1 / 1000
Noise free use of the results of OMC 100 – 400. General Settings:
* 100 Sun
* Porch light 200
* Grey Day 200-400
* Window Light 400
* Closed without flash and up to 800
* Stage performance without flash 1600
* Indoor sporting event without flash 1600
Stop F (aperture) affects the depth of field
* F / 8 to f/22 prepare a long-term depth of field, that is, many things are in the spotlight, it is called as shooting closed.
* For a short depth of field that makes the subject pop out and the background more blurry to use larger apertures. Most of the photos in this book were shot between the F / 1. 4 and F / 5. 6. This is called shooting wide.
“No pictures produced by cameras, which are merely tools”.
Modes program;
* Portrait mode predecessor, aperture priority, sports shutter priority,
* F / 4 and F / 5. 6 to give you a nice depth of field for portraits. F-stop large, for example, F / 1. 5 and F / 1. 2 to make a very selective attention and do everything else blurry.
In the chapter on natural light, is called “See the Light”, the authors use of natural light, sweet and light the first hour of sunlight per day and last hour. High key photography light objects on a light background. Contour light is 3 times more light on one side of the subject, as on the other side. Specular light bright line separating the highlight of the shadows. Outbreaks in the eyes is called to catch the light.
There is also a chapter on the manipulation of the flash of light, light modifiers, white balance, and studio lighting. Using the camera flash as the main source of light is almost always a mistake. Cosmetic ads shot from the front or flat lighting, because it creates a shadow: light, which masks the shortcomings. Rembrandt lighting is obtained by placing your question in 45-degree angle of your light source, such as windows. In the studio world, the closer they are to the subject, the softer they appear.
In composition, keep it simple and make it closer. Watch for the dark things in the light of the space, and vice versa.
The negative space empty space around the issue, which works to emphasize. Do not cut off the hands and feet. Either the increase in the head and shoulders, or lower, to get their hands, or to reduce more and get the entire body, including legs.
Focal length
* 12mm wide angle – a good place for large groups of < br /> * 50mm Standard – that is what the eye can see
* 105 telephoto lens – are often considered ideal for portraits (finally!)
* 200mm telephoto lens – good for the blurring of the background and approaches to action

This book was wonderful, helping me understand what I was doing wrong and how to do it right. I was a closet photographer for most of my life, and was disappointed by many of my efforts, mostly because I do not know what I’m doing wrong or how to change it. When I had my son, I began to photograph him on the neck of the rate of break, and when I got a good shot every 20-30 pictures, I was looking at a better return on my efforts. This book is the key to this. Photos in the book, in fact, beautiful. I highly recommend this book.

I was trying to learn HDR for the past 6 months, using mainly online tutorials. This is the first book I bought or read on the subject. Without going into too much scientific detail the author provides a great understanding of what HDR is all about.
It gives you more information about why the background necessary to HDR, which causes noise in digital photos and a lot of information that may or may not want to, before he ever gets into how to do some HDR.
In addition, it compares the different programs to handle HDR and the strengths and weaknesses each program.
As soon as he gets in the factual part of HDR, it gives you quite a lot of information you may need to produce great photos of HDR. He shows examples and explains how to obtain and “realistic” and “artistic” photos.
He also shows what problems you can carry different types of scenes and how to approach and fix problems that may arise.
It also shows how to make HDR-type processing of one image (although he claims that will not help you as the “true” result of HDR.
It covers many areas in which you can use of HDR, including interior photos at home, or color gels, as well as new techniques he developed called “flash merger, which takes multiple images using flash photo-making and HDR on this. I personally think that the study of this new ‘ flash fusion technology “worth the price of the book alone.
There are also some examples of the great photographers HDR (but mostly for the inspiration of what can be done, and do not offer as many ways -k).
If you are not familiar with HDR and want to know how its done, an analysis of the scene before the first images ever captured in the chamber until the final image, if you do it for some time and you want to know how to approach the problem areas that store images HDR from looking like professionals (eg, noise in the clouds and dark areas), then this book will be a great investment…. And this is a great price. < br /> ByronT

There’s no really net.1000D has the same image sensor and a chip in ney.50D this shit. 16M pixels at cropcamera creates so much noise at higher ISO. Lenses should be very good otherwise you will get screwed up photos

If you’re a beginner, the best way for you to learn DSLR works that I do not know / / / ~ 1000 shots union of all settings:) that `s how I leand, you do not need to read 400 pages to tell you how to add the camera in fully manual mode or aperture or ISO or change whaterver. . . Good luck:)

As for me it’s better to have 5 user defined functions, than all these “fake regime”.
But they are very nice solution for beginners.

Not sure if I order because I live in America.
If I had more money to spend on a camera, which I probably would have bought a 40D or 50D. I spent a total of 970 dollars to 450D, which came with 18-55mm lens and 55-250mm lens with both image stabilization and an additional battery. I think that was quite a lot.

There are definitely better books out there.
There are some great pictures in the book, but the author leaves out one of the most important parts: the settings used to capture the image (lens, iris, etc.) for basic information, check out Scott Kelby Digial photos and details of the book Better Picture Guide on digital photography is great. This gives you a quick lesson, as well as all the settings used to shoot photos discussed in the book. Another good book, but I feel there are a lot better there.

After a (long) period of the early shooting at cars my desire to make good pictures grew. I spoiled myself a DSLR.
Intent to study the use of their new treasures, I looked in the manual, and was soon lost. He showed me how to set the aperture, shutter speed, white balance, but what is it? Why? Why?
So I got this “simplistic picture” of the book, and she showed me in a short clear text next to pictures that illustrate what I think and what happens when taking photos. Love it.
It is very easy to read and I recommend it warmly all my friends, my photography.
At the same time I read one more book Betterphoto Beginners Guide to Digital Photography (Amphoto Guide Series). This is a pleasure to read with wonderful photos and it uses, and can easily explain the previously mentioned conditions.
I heartily recommend both these books.

When asked if I would like to read and analyze a copy of Creative close-up, I jumped at the chance. A few weeks later the book arrived and I dove right in.
Creative close-up is not very technical book, it is well written and thoughtful study of macro shooting.
It encompasses many kinds of macro photography including flowers, a drop of water, still life and glass.
Filled with wonderful photos that highlight type of photography are discussed along with commentary on the choices made during the preparation and taking photos. Details on the choice of lens, aperture, shutter speed, and more are given for each photo.
This is the first close-up photography book I’ve seen that covers the High Dynamic Range (HDR) images for photos of flowers and other items.
It also contains information on how to create a high focal length (HFR) pictures to expand the depth of field in macro photography.
I appreciate the descriptions of lighting problems and the solutions offered in the book, which is not require a lot of expensive equipment that, for enthusiasts of photography can not own or want to buy.
If you are looking for a photographer to improve the macro-skills, I highly recommend Creative close-up digital photography tips and techniques < br />

I have all the books macro photography on the market over the past three years, and this is certainly the best, in my opinion. Harold Davis pushed the boundaries of macro new methods, such as HDR, Focus Stacking photographic transparency, an entire section of photographing a drop of water, still-life photos, and much more.
If you combine this masterful book with more detailed instruction on the satellite books, Photoshop Darkroom, Creative Digital Post Processing, you will learn amazing techniques for using LAB color to create fabulous effects, hand HDR processing techniques, and much more.
< ; br /> As the macro photographer, I could bury myself in the techniques and ideas presented in this book and its companion, Photoshop Darkroom, and not run away from new methods to try for years to come! This book has stunning photography and very well-organized. I especially appreciate the precise references to page numbers in order to refresh the memory on the methods used previously.

Full disclosure: I was a macro (closeup) photographer for several years, and I was sure that I have read all the important books on this topic.
Full disclosure # 2: I was wrong. . . . Because until this week I have not read this book, and so my macro library was incomplete.
Author Harold Davis issued this statement to close the photographer, who as well as all that I have ever read on this subject.
Its chapters focus stacking and the use of HDR (High Dynamic Range) integrated approach impact incredibly helpful with step by step guide (and screenshots) what to do with these methods is very simple. Although I had read about the “focus stacking” I never felt comfortable with this approach, because I thought it would be time consuming and too much time. When reading the chapter on how to do it, I managed to get into his garden, and immediately get good results. Heck, that boards should only cover the costs.
I also found the chapter on selective focus and the reflection and refraction will be very useful. I’ve long wanted to get that classic shot of reflection inside the drop of dew on the leaf surface, but I could never take it off very well.
The text and accompanying photographs in this book, I found myself in a position to correct my previous mistakes and nail the shot, I always wanted.
Mr. Davis writes easy to understand style that is both informative and casual. You do not need to be a professional to understand what he wrote about his advice to the response as a loyal friend, who took under his wing to show you all your favorite tips and tricks.
If you are not at all interested in improving your photos closeup work, or if you want to go out in this exciting area of the world in miniature, as if through a lens the photo, then I highly recommend this book.
By M. Braun amazon.com
The focus of the book by Harold Davis, of course, the “creative”.
If you suffer from a lack of ideas of macro subjects, this book will start the juices going. Your pots and pans and dishes, all will be possible themes of inspiration.
The sections on HDR and HFR well illustrated step by step instructions. I have two minor caveats about the book. I would prefer to see less space given to reflection and drops, and it would be hard not to just buy “Photoshop Darkroom”, saw similar results from Harold Davis up in Photoshop. I just ordered mine. We strongly recommend the book.
By Mary Darling amazon.com
I have several books by Harold Davis, and love them all. What I liked about this book were his instructions to ensure transparency in the garden and the “Focus” on each other. I loved reading about how to make a good photo, so much better. His instructions are clear and photos are breathtaking. I’ll soon be buying a Creative Composition.

David Pogue in Digital Photography: Missing Manual is an outstanding asset for beginners and intermediate photographers.
If you are buying your first digital camera or try to decide whether you should sell a CD-point-and-shooting with digital SLR, this book will answer all your questions.
The use of informal, conversational and friendly tone, Pogue covers the functions and capabilities of all types of digital cameras, including recent developments, such as geotagging, and facial recognition. He also tells how to improve your photographic skills. I especially liked the chapter 4, in which he discusses the “Ten Decisions”, you should do when you are preparing for a photo. Chapter 6 explains how the professionals get kinds of training do you see in the magazines. His explanations are concise and easy to understand.
It goes beyond hurt himself when he says that you can do with all your digital files. Chapters 8, 9 and 10 include two popular photo storage and editing programs, Iphoto and Picasa. Chapter 11 is an excellent guide to print photos (it explains concepts like resolution and aspect ratio) and Chapter 12, Digital Photos, explores the many ways to share their photos via e-mail, Web galleries and slide shows. < br />
May I even signed to explain what the example photos should show and I thought that the use of Blue type of attention was annoying trick.
But those minor complaints.
It is clearly written, modern guide to all aspects of digital photography.
By Michael McKee amazon.com
If you’re new to digital photography, or not received for shooting and printing stage, you should find a lot, as in this book. Explanation of the various technical camera and photos of items easily among the clearest and most understandable I have met. Thank Pogue for making such a jargon-laden subject easy to understand.
I am pleased to recommend this as the first book on digital photography. All the main covered by understanding how cameras work and that all conditions have meant to buy the camera right on the main photo cataloging and editing. Pogue also includes components of equipment, which increase the quality of the photos as tripods, memory cards and the like.
There is also a good primer on how to write and shoot an interesting way.
Pogue also includes some introductory coverage of cataloging and image editing programs that come with the common chamber, as well as Adobe Photoshop Elements.
As in any book, which offers coverage of various programs, he will not accept you as a basis for any of them.
If you are one of the mainstays of photographs from the film, who wants to understand what and why digital, this book does, and should get started. Nevertheless, it is quite simple.
If you are an experienced photographer and I understand that you do not look at this book to take you to the next level.
This definitely does not offer in-depth that some other Missing Manual books do. This is not a complaint, just observation.
As someone who teaches, photo editing, it’s great that a basic manual recommend.
As a book I absolutely recommend it for clarity and good writing.

A white dog on the cover of Digital Photography by David Pogue in the absence of leadership, and winner of “Best in Show Award” books on digital photography Digital photography is a Missing Manual.
Pogue covers many types of camera DSLR a camera phone. Pogue covers the basic hardware in each of these styles, such as CCD camera, stabilizers, memory cards, etc. Of the neck of a man wishing to buy a camera, but do not know which camera to buy style, there is a section that will help you determine your needs, when you can get an idea of what type of camera is best suited to your needs.
;
Pogue goes into detail about the basic features that almost all the cells and the impact this will have on the shot. Digital photography is no guide also goes into situational shooting like night shooting, sports, portrait and nature photography.
Pogue has some tips and notes, which are allocated by the book. Tips are highlighted in the main keys on a computer to get to the options soon. Notes, Terms and Conditions that ever software or the camera is covered by the option at that time. Users will find these very useful.
There are two free digital that Pogue uses in the book, they Iphoto (comes with Mac) and Picasa, it does not use Photoshop in a book. In the sections on software there are enough screenshots to help the reader to follow along. In camera operations sections of the book have color photos that help illustrate the topic, and photos of themselves are not received.
Pogue covers everything about digital cameras with a depth and detail that it is very easy to understand and he uses screen shots to improve the book. Digital Photography Missing Manual would meet a wide range of users from the scope. I highly recommend this book for beginners to intermediate computer user.

When I read the manual to my camera for the first time, my eyes started glazing at about a quarter through, but after reading this book, I reread the manual and understand everything! This is definitely a good book to get everything possible from your digital camera.
This is two books in one.
The first half is very clear that manual demystifies digital photography, and covers both compact cameras and digital SLR cameras.
The second half of the more routine look at the governance and management of digital photos on your computer.
It covers both Macintosh and Windows.
In the first half of the book does an excellent job highlighting the most important parameters of the camera, explaining how they interact with each other, and why we have so many settings. One particularly interesting point discussion of the “megapixel myth”: the author’s opinion megapixels are overrated, and he even ran a taste test once (p. 29) with poster-size blowups 5, 8 and 13-megapixel photos, most people can not tell the difference.
There is also a lot of information, applicable to any camera on the establishment of a shot, and the chapter “How did they do, how to get the special effects and difficult shots, such as frozen shots of sports.
< br /> The second half of the book is devoted to how to use free photo Iphoto software and Picasa.
It’s not as good as the first part of the book, it does not provide much added value over the fact that the Help system. In the main program directory command, without much guidance on which securities and what is not, and when to use each command.
The emphasis of this half of the management of your collection of photos and what you can do with them, for example, to force them to print on all kinds of material objects.
There is one short chapter on enhancing and fixing defects in the photographs, which are essentially a list of all commands, and not go into depth.
Book is very useful appendix on “Where to move on,” that lists of useful web sites and magazines, as well as take a quick look at a more advanced software photo. Missing online CD-ROM has a number of additional applications covering additional ways to share your photos.

I bought this book based on the many positive reviews from Amazon, and I deemed it appropriate to read, engaging style.
But it is full of errors that should have been caught before it went to print, and will confuse many readers, especially beginners. This book is considerably below the level of excellence set by other books in the series Missing Manual.
Here are some examples:
Write about the landscape mode, writes author, that he sets out “with a large aperture, creating a large depth of field …”.
The fact that the regime Landscape of many small aperture, which is what creates a great depth of field. (With large aperture effectively creates depth of field.)
In discussing the manual mode, the author wrote: “This is a fully automatic, which is just the opposite of the truth.
In the discussion of lenses, he wrote: “Telephoto means” zoom. “This is wrong, and not all are telephoto zoom lenses, as well as all telephoto zoom lenses.
And the list goes on! Complete list of fixes before it (yet) readers, go link: [...]

Digital Photography for Dummies “is the first book of the” Dummies “I’ve read. This completely updated and amended at the present time, in full color.
I can not afford to understand everything about RGB, CYMK and other colorful acronyms in chapter 2, if the diagrams were in black and white, color says a lot. < br /> Digital Photography for Dummies shows you anything and everything you need to know about digital photography.
There are 16 chapters divided into 5 parts.
Covers understanding the differences between digital cameras and film cameras, as well as advantages and disadvantages of digital photography.
He is also involved in color, resolution and image size, with some useful diagrams RGB channels, a good section of pixels and print quality, the difference in 300ppi, 150ppi , 72ppi, if you do not know what to do now.
Look at the shutter speed and aperture in the conventional film cameras, worth a look.
Comparison of SLR and point and shoot cameras, and also includes digital cameras, removable media types.
Great feedback on the use of free digital lenses with a digital body (Not all cameras do it) more tips.
It also takes a look at the transmission of images to your computer, image processing.
Making an initial creation decisions includes understanding the quality of the file format and image size settings, this book really gets into the fight with the characteristics of your digital camera, resolution, white balance with the flash, exposure settings.
I use flash or not? “Here is the answer.
Blurry images a bad focus, or an unsteady hand, how you hold the camera is very important.
Materials capture action shots, panoramas, zooming and camera noise, and camera raw, transfer files from your camera to your computer.
A good section on digital photography, choosing a printer, inkjet or laser. Selecting paper, choose can make your images have a completely different effect .
Use of photos on the Internet, the production of photographs on the screen. Changes to the part of the picture, when and why.
Good dictionary in the back explains all those technical words.
I liked the use of icons throughout the book, bringing important information to your attention.
Conclusions:
This is a very good book for readers who are new to digital photography . Experienced users may know the most information, but again, a book for dummies.
Full of useful information may be some information you will never need, but this information is better than omitted.
Charts clear and clean, it’s also nice to see screenshots of the windows machines.
You will not receive a CD with the book, the bet does not need one.
I give this book 5 ( 5) of five (5).

I guess I do not think photo editing, digital photography. When I think of digital photography, I think about the art of photography, taken with a digital camera instead of film cameras. That’s all.
Photo editing, in my opinion is different.
If you are looking for a book to explain the aperture, exposure, shutter speed, F / stops, etc., this book only 41 pages on these issues.
There are 354 pages total (not counting the glossary ) and 194 of them are in the photo editing software elements.
I found myself skipping and skimming, and switch for more information.
As if I missed something, I would find myself back and reread and still lowered. I wanted a book about taking better pictures without taking OKAY photos, and fixing them later with an external program – and, perhaps, my fault, as defined in my head. I do not want a book on the elements, but I do not have this program.

< ; br /> As a macro photographer, I could bury myself in the techniques and ideas presented in this book and its companion, Photoshop Darkroom, and not run away from new methods to try for years to come! This book has stunning photography and very well-organized. I especially appreciate the precise references to page numbers in order to refresh his memory on the methods used previously.

Its chapters focus stacking and the use of HDR (High Dynamic Range) an integrated approach impacts incredibly helpful with step by step guide (and screenshots), what to do with these methods is very simple. Although I had read about the “focus stacking” I never felt comfortable with this approach, because I thought it would be time consuming and too much time. After reading the chapter on how to do it, I managed to get into his garden, and immediately get good results.

In the new book “Dummies” and a DVD on digital cameras and picture perfect for those of us who are not professionals. In the book of color photographs, which really increases the volume on color photography. Well-organized and provides information in an understandable way without “cutesy” comments, I think so annoying many books Dummies. I’ve found, can easily move between the book, DVD, and my camera with instruction manual, so I can actually practice the steps taught. My learning style requires that I read the material that is technical in nature (eg, diaphragm), and then practice the problem I will need to use (for example, transfer photos to your computer and edit them).
The combination book and DVD has allowed me to use a training method is best for me at every stage. I also discovered that one was once again subject to any other so I went faster. My favorite part was the DVD section for editing photos. I am sure that now I can handle this project, I would avoid, because the program to intimidate me.
Book and DVD, complete set, in fact, not bound by any way, except on the topic. I was expecting and would like some cross-references, though I was able to make it relatively easy to mine. (It would have been 5 stars if the connection was there). Complete set, certainly a valuable addition to my library, and I expect the holding of the book with me a link for a while, until I became more comfortable with tips and tricks to make my photos more professional.

This book is easy and interesting read. Plus, the publisher did a great job creating a book – text, photographs, cartoons and all the “convenient”. Color photographs and design books, especially nice. Small size of the book makes it easy to take trips, car trips, etc. Explanations about cameras and photos are easy to follow and clearly written. I especially enjoyed the photos, which show the author’s love of nature and the south-west. I really enjoyed this book and recommended it to many others, as well as purchased three copies for friends. This book should be proposed at Costco stores across the country, as well as ships stores, where people are scrapbooking and other projects courts.
Its low price (on Amazon at least) and helpful tips make this an excellent deal!

I have always had problems with the “For Dummies” brand. I often read in the subway, and I do not want strangers thinking that I was stupid.
If you suffer from this syndrome and want to learn the fundamentals of High Dynamic Range photography (HDR) to get over it, or you do not miss a good introduction to an important aspect of photographic technology and even art.
HDR is method of combining several digital effects to create the object of a number of sounds in the photo closer to what the human eye sees than the single shot camera shows. In “High Dynamic Range Digital Photography for Dummies” Robert Correll explains the process of creating such images. Although he does not waste page space to explain the basis of photographs, he makes the coating process are readily available in small steps to the photographer who already knows how to capture images with camera. After describing the hardware and software necessary, the author tells the details of capturing HDR images and then processing these images, the first in the software HDR, and then in the post-processing software like Photoshop Elements, including the so-called pseudo HDR. He also discusses the creation of HDR panoramas and black and white images HDR.
Book follows the usual jocular style “for Dummies” series (the publisher does have a special “egghead” editor “), including cartoons and normal “part of tens.” Correll demonstrates computer processing using Photomatix Pro, which is becoming the standard for software HDR and Photoshop Elements. Photoshop users will not have much trouble to do the translation with Photoshop Elements, but users of the software as HDR FDRTools, which uses different paradigm may be more difficult. (demo versions of most programs available for download.)
Although the book discusses each of the sliders and buttons in Photomatix Pro and what it does, it was almost impossible to say, subtle differences from the tiny illustrations often. I also thought that the author should have spent a little more time explaining the wide range of image processing results can HDR from realistic to surreal and sliders that influence those outcomes. I believe there is no substitute for sitting in front of a computer and play with the sliders in Photomatix Pro with image in real time. While I have used HDR software successfully for several years, I’m still hard to pack my mind around exactly what some controls in Photomatix Pro to do.
But for someone new to the HDR, this book is one of the most effective ways currently to switch to this process.
By Kent Baker amazon.com
If you are interested in HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography, and you plan to use the Photomatix software, this book is for you! One of the most thorough explanation of HDR principles and methods that I have come across, especially if you are using or planning to use Photomatix for tone mapping HDR. Since Photomatix is certainly the most popular and comprehensive HDR software (at a reasonable price), I suspect that this book will be very important because they largely focuses on the use of this program. I personally was delighted with this! This explains, to a limited extent, some other programs HDR, but the emphasis is Photomatix – and they say that up to the front.
They are very careful to explain and technology.
The differences between realistic and over the top interpretation of the HDR sufficiently discussed. I see a lot of beauty in both interpretations in my work and believe that the room in an artistic sense, because both points of view.
They explain the many tone mapping settings in Photomatix is the best thing I have seen – and I have a lot of books HDR! I highly recommend this book.
By J. Harwig amazon.com
This book is very deep and clear. I was amazed that the author explains how to create HDR even from a simple point and shoot cameras. After reading this book I feel I can without trying out a lot of stress for the HDR process.
By James H. Alphin amazon.com
I’m not going to go into that part of the book and try to explain how or why “of why I like this book.
But I am very glad that I spent money on it.
I spent three months working a few pictures that I thought worthy of HDR effort on my part to approach expectations. I went halfway through the book. He took one big JPEG photos following easy to follow instructions and come with the best HDR, which I did until now.
; I look forward to using his leadership is to take pictures of the old barn, which is close to my house.
Thanks Robert!

If you know the beauty of a big black and white photographers of the twentieth century, Mr. Davis first made his vision available to digital photographers 21st.
As said Weston, the camera should be used for … Providing the very essence and quintessence of the thing itself, whether it be polished steel or palpitating flesh. ” In color photography is representational, black and white “, as it is. Mr. Davis knows the difference and explains how their vision can be yours.
Digital photography has always suffered in the black and white.
The most sophisticated digital sensors do not have the dynamic range of photographic printing. This means that sensors can not detect at the same time, the whitest of white, black blacks, and grays in between. Classic photographers can tease out these options with the experimental photographic paper, pets concoctions of chemicals, and innovative technology lab. Only recently, digital post-processing was the same results.
In this fruitful work, Mr. Davis explains, step by step, fully illustrate the style as a photographer a basic knowledge of post-processing programs can generate these results. With ACR or Lightroom and Photoshop or special programs to improve black and white picture explained. From simple procedures to the most complex.
< br /> As a cherry on top, Mr. Davies ends with specialized techniques, such as high key, low key, toning, duotoning, solarization, and much more.
Black and White picture, as in those famous words: “Try again, you’ll love”.

I love this book!
With the advent of digital, B / W was the “choice” and not limitation.
As a result, many creative ideas to keep making great B / W photos.
As a newcomer to this field of photography (especially in the digital post-processing), I found this book was perfect in two aspects.
First, Harold Davis, a great way to explain the subtleties of this art form.
It is easy to understand and follow things as
), why would a better picture of the convert to B / W
B) why a specific work of the best in black and white
C) what are the different types of b / w and composition which could work best for a given object on a person to be photographed, etc.
D) how to do HDR in B / W in a few refining < br />
This is a sign of the great masters of art, which he (she) can transmit their knowledge in a simple and easy to understand way. Harold solves this problem in this book.
Second major aspect of the book Photoshop steps. For Photoshop beginners like me, this book is a godsend because digital b / w is concerned.
In general, I highly recommend the book for those who want to start your journey, or to improve their understanding of the Digital B / W.
By Bradford Kissell amazon.com
If you’ve seen some great exposure image Harold night, you know, the high level of professionalism and creativity of the photographer’s West Coast and the teacher brings to his work. This book is a continuation of all that, and mandatory for anyone with a serious interest in black and white digital photography. Beautifully designed, well-organized and clearly presented, allowing the reader to follow a logical sequence —- from concept to creation to post production. I loved (and would even like to see more of) those examples where the reader has the right to receive in the author’s brain (and heart), and a scene or a challenge presents itself. He speaks of creating an abstraction of the elements or combinations of standard items, seeing for bias and focus on things like form and texture. Technical aspects of the shoots carefully noted, together with step-by-step instructions on how to bring the most out of these images using Photoshop and other specialized programs. Although he pays his respects here and there in black and white artists such as Adams and Weston, the book is more converts, who were mesmerized by the range of tones and the special beauty of classic black and white. One thing I’d like to at least some discussion of digital printing. High quality, affordable inkjet printers have made printing process is a key element of the creative process for any serious digital photography. Paper only choice may significantly affect the appearance and general appearance of the image.
But Harold, certainly has everything in the background another book, which I look forward to reading.
By DaveNelson amazon.com
A new book by Harold Davis on the assumption of digital color images and transform them into creative black-and-white photographs is an inspiring read with lots of examples and many ways to achieve your vision.
Particular attention in this book to help you learn how to preview what the world of color that surrounds us in an empty and white. For a contrasting light and shadow, which remained when the color is removed from the picture, and I think that the book does a good job describing how to do it.
I really like the various ways in which discussed in the book to convert the image into the color white and clean, Photoshop, Lightroom, Silver Efex Pro, and Photomatix all covered. Creating images with high hey, restrained, split toning, HDR, hand coloring, and noise all learn from examples and tips.
I found particularly interesting example of HDR, using HDR techniques to create photo with extraordinary range of shades is very appealing to me, and I plan on giving it a try soon.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who has an interest in making amazing black and white photographs.
I want to thank the author for the opportunity to review this book before its release.

I could not wait to open your copy of the book by Harold Davis, “Creative Black and White.” At first glance, I thought this book so that I could convert color photos into black and white, but also know when I take the photo settings choose to make `big ‘black and white.
It does not mean anything I appreciated, Before I read this book.
Introduction; “My goal in Creative Black and White will be your companion … Together we will experience what it means to think in black and white. I’ll show you a lot of visual ideas that can work well with black and white, and to share my experience and technical approaches that can be used to create high-quality digital black and white photos “. Boy, he delivered! Throughout the book he gave the example after the example of Black and White photographs and showed us the settings in the camera, he took these pictures in order to achieve the desired result.
I am a dentist by trade and consider myself ‘Advanced Amateur Hobbyist. I’ll be president of the local Club photos, and even write a daily blog for the club. I submit pictures on a monthly basis and photography for various organizations throughout the city, but never thought about black and white as a medium, which was the art ‘in my hands. “Creative Black and White teaches the basics of any good photograph, IE contrast, shape and form… Shades of Gray. Check ‘page content and see how Harold covers the full subject of black and white, and when he teaches, as you can do.
It teaches you how to convert color photos black and white, using several methods, Camera, Photoshop, Lightroom and Photoshop plug-in variety. He gives us many ways to achieve the desired result, he not married to one particular method. I wanted to try his hand at the Black and White Photography. “Creative Black and White” gave me the confidence to expand their knowledge that the base of stakeholders to make a large black and white if possible, how to correctly ` step by step to convert color to black and white, and shows ‘before and after “examples.
This book is a complete’ as a book for those of us that did not know that black and white photos so much promise. I highly recommend this book and I can not wait to use it in our training sessions in the photo club.
It will be a great opportunity for us as a club to try our strength in the subject only one or two when ever used.

Another relationship that comes to mind to do with copyright. Digital technology has made it much easier to copy and / or change the image and use it in a befitting manner. Photos are copyrighted the moment that the photons slam on the photosensitive medium, stores them, and from March 1, 1989, copyright law, such as a small © and name of the photographer is no longer required to be displayed in any place of work. Creator of the character the only one who has control over if, when, how and to whom the image can be displayed or published. This control extends to any change in the image, which is sometimes called the “transformative work” in order to prevent the court for copyright infringement. This protection has never held much water in the federal district courts, where the copyright disputes were heard. For example, your Uncle Milton, furious patriot, who works for a lifetime membership in the John Birch Society could not see the humor when you transform his candid snapshot taken by Aunt Millie, in which he was proud to wear his American flag lapel pin after deftly changed, Photoshop master, that you, the flag of the Nazi Party.

Photography can be expensive hobby, but it really depends on whether you’re in it.
If you love him and you can save money, I would recommend digibee set of Alien Bee. Two 400 watt second light stands, and two large umbrellas (1 shoot, although it reflects one). Just $ 600

Hmm, Canon Powershot S60 is now more than 2 1 / 2 years, so maybe you have recorded the wrong model number. . . And I certainly would not recommend a new camera, which starye.Odnako, if you really mean Ixus 60 (SD600), then yes, this is a very popular compact cameras. This is one view, if you want a very small point and shoot camera that also has great pictures, but it lacks full manual control (as the battery is low enough, so you need to fill up regularly). In any case, when considering the Olympus SP-510 UZ, what I read, I can not say that I would like to kupit.Vot that the review is completed. . . “Pro: Sleek, silvery futuristic design, but funktsionalnyy.Udobnaya ruchkaVeliky color, good dynamic range and decent sharpness of images taken in bright usloviyahCon: Excessive noise in images shot above ISO 400Neadekvatnaya resolution. 2 5-inch LCDVyaly overall performance and in while shooting and general operatsiyUstarevshaya system menyuNet paper manual for the experienced instruction, only CDTolko digital image stabilization for 10-times optical zoom which increases noise and degrades the quality. “No optical image stabilization and a very low productivity, it would be sufficient reason to stay away from this modeli.Esli you like the Canon, then I would recommend A630 or A640.Ili camera with 12 x optical image stabilizer and a large macro (even super macro, 0-10 cm) and shoots a big “movie, then have a look at Canon S3 IS.Vam also need a fast memory card for maximum performance camera (Sandisk Ultra II and Extreme III).

Keep saving and wait a bit, in the end, you will be able to afford the Canon, or, possibly, Nikon D40.
These cameras are just like that, does not exceed-SLR cameras, that they are well worth the wait a bit, and some Scrimping and savings.
By Dr. Sam
It looks almost the same time, except for the 10-megapixel kameroy.U I have several DSLR Nikon, and I would buy a Canon A630 or A640 for sebya.A620 was estimated at about twice as good as any battery. I hope, A630 and A640 are just as good. Use Energizer e2 lithium batteries and you’ll be happy with akkumulyatora.S this camera, you’ll find a memory card a cute little token of gratitude to Canon, but no more. Buy 1 GB SanDisk Ultra II and Extreme III cards. You need to increase capacity and write speed to fully realize the benefits of your camera. I see a discount on the memory card SanDisk Extreme III, which actually makes them cheaper than the Ultra II, so there is no reason not to buy a faster card.
The rebate offer ends 12-31-06, however.

With “Creative Night: Digital Photography Tips and Techniques”, Mr. Davis creates a new paradigm in the field of photography, taking pictures of the universe at night. I do not mean shooting at night, but the pictures of the night. I am referring to photographs of the night, which so often has its exquisite beauty, hidden in the details that only photography can reveal.
His photographs are like Escher’s how dazzling the eyes and mind. < ; br />
This book is not an absolute beginner. You should know that the aperture, shutter speed and ISO mean. ” But from there, Mr. Davis takes you by the hand and gently guide you through the discipline little understood by amateur or professional alike. Photos exquisite.
The book will undoubtedly find its place on the coffee table. Each photo is accompanied by a brief explanation of how it was conceived and created.
The text of a brief, easy to understand, and not frivolous, that I so often bothersome to some of the methods books. This is not to say that it is dry or boring. With each photo I would just like to know how it was done. In contrast to the mystical thriller, I do not want to know who did it, but “how” it is made. I believe that every page of the first look at the photo and then “guess” how it was done.
So often I have never been even close to the correct answer.
I recommend to put the book on their wish list, or better yet, buy it now. This pearl of great value.

Creative night of great book with brilliant pictures. Night photography is one of those party photos, which does not get much publicity. Nevertheless, Harold changed everything.
You want to know what on earth you can photograph at night? You want to know how to shoot for the night?
Harold Davis, a few suggestions of subjects with a large photograph of providing samples of these items. Just look at the pictures in the book can get your creative juices flowing.
There are suggestions for those who feel themselves in the wilderness, as well as those who thrive in this city. Harold Davis also provides a starting point for taking pictures at night. You should know the basic technical aspects of photography – What aperture, exposure, ISO, exposure, and what they mean. With that knowledge, as well as suggestions and configuration tips in this book, you can go hunting at night and come back with some very nice photos at night.
In this book, Harold is also information on many other aspects of night photography – security issues, advice about the necessary equipment, and that makes the night more interesting photographs. And besides, that he was considering further processing techniques – mixing, selective treatment of noise at each other.
I spent the evening simply looking through exquisite photography. Each of them came from the history and technical details, the better for savoring them with a glass of wine. Most of the book that it is easy to read.
The text is interesting, and not get lost in technical jargon.
The information clearly and concisely presented, and you leave knowing more than when you started.
In general, this is an excellent book and I highly recommend it to all who are interested in night photography. That would be a great gift to the person who care about the idea of a night of shooting. And it makes a good coffee table book, as well.

Mr. Harold Davis is the author of more than a few books on photography and photographic equipment. Other recent works by this author include: Photoshop Darkroom: Creative digital post-processing – an excellent and indispensable work, light and exposure for Digital Photographers (Practical Artistry), as well as other works in the “Creative” series, which include Creative Content: Digital Photography Tips and Technology and Creative Close-up: Digital photography tips and techniques.
I had the good fortune to see Harold’s work on Flickr, after his blog, and then goes a few of his seminars – including its Night photography studio. This book, Creative Night, largely illustrated with night work, Harold – mostly very convincing and encompassing various styles. More about that in a moment.
As Harold other works, I am pleased to find generous glossary and index.
Of course, in The focus of this work of 239 pages devoted to the spectrum of approaches and important tips in making decisions and compelling pictures at night. Many people are surprised by images that can be made per day, including night shots, which look like they were taken in the daytime. I consider myself a “power user” for a night photo so that I really wanted to read this work.
Book begins well.
The first 60 pages cover the most important aspects of shooting at night including security, camera views, lenses, focusing and exposure. On page 60, Harold decides one of the most difficult issues for beginning photographers night: the exposure. Knowing how to understand the exposure histogram is a very strong principle. I would prefer to see some examples of images illustrates their histograms for the understanding of this principle. Too brief discussion of painting with light (using artificial light sources to illuminate the object) begins and ends on page 62. After this night different subjects are covered: Urban landscapes, buildings, bridges, industrial zones, oceans, clouds and fog. More ideas include photographs of the Moon and used to illuminate the moonlight – and much more. All sections are illustrated by their own photos of Harold. On page 156 of Harold gives some simple tips on understanding night sky and point the reader an excellent reference section at the end of the book.
On page 176 to 183 Harold covers noise – not a profound scientific way, – but in a straight line is easy to understand tone and provides detailed instructions for Photoshop ready to selectively process of noise. Harold provides more details on the processing here, but his work is really Photoshop Darkroom: Creative digital post-processing is what you want to get all the products to improve and edit photos. Geek in me would like to see on the sidebar or in-depth discussion on noise and while Mr. Davis points out the noise, heat sensor, it does not mention the noise from the ambient temperature. (Low temperatures lower noise in general, but also as a rule, lower battery life)
On page 184 Harold begins coverage of my favorite subject pictures night: Star trails. Star Trail photos requires much more than a minute exposure and always better to work with some foresight and prior planning. Many people admire the arcs that trace the stars in the night sky due to Earth’s rotation. One of the best tools to produce compelling images of the track star technique called “stacking.” Copious amount of explanation is provided, and includes, as background material for the software available over the Internet, as well as a detailed description of how to use Photoshop to get the results.
In the last few sections work include the use of programmable timer (interval), most of the Internet resource, and a glossary and an index I mentioned earlier.
One of the features of the book, which I really did not expect a lot of different ideas at night photos.
If you have a hint for the solution of the night photos, but do not know where to start – you will undoubtedly find something interesting to start here – even if your efforts are not as inspiring as his own work, Mr. Davis.

As a photographer obsessed, like me, I read many books on this topic. I chose it and honestly, I read it to the last page. Harold Davis, writers, as well as terrific photographer. His stories were accompanied by practical information, the book is representative and enjoyable. His clear and concise instructions on every aspect of night photography is invaluable. I would like to have this book in a cliff notes to take with him on shoots!
In particular, useful for me was his laying heads. This is all new to me, and I fully understand it now.
It was the most thorough studies on the subject I have ever seen.
In general, I highly recommend this book.
It’s quite easy for beginners and filled with new information for even the most experienced photographers. Thank you, Harold!

I’m an experienced photographer night, seminar instructor and college teachers Photoshop. I have been considering various photo books at night to find one to recommend to their students.
The author of this book, obviously, shares the joy of night photography and some very good pictures night landscape in Bay Area, and Sierra. Those interested in landscape photography found this work inspiring.
The book shows the breadth of some night photographs of the object, the images of hard-won, and a lot of enthusiasm.
Unfortunately, many images suffer from a lack of clarity and depth of field (bad choice of aperture), a blatant violet sensor pulse (CCD misunderstanding restrictions against CMOS), a strange white balance (especially excessively purple sky) image with huge amount of chrominance and luminance noise, and poor technical advice (shooting at f/22 and f/29, which leads to a loss of sharpness as a result of diffraction).
This may sound like I’m going out of left field with all other glowing reviews, but as avid photographer at night, I felt like someone needs to speak to image quality and correct technique. Basic concepts, such as high test calculations ISO, color temperature setting, as well as tips camera attached to either gloss over or ignored. Light painting tools and techniques are not explained, and the use of gels to change the light color and color temperature is not enough. Jill Waterman of the book “Night and low light photography, although not perfect, improve lighting the main methods of digital photos at night, and is recommended as an alternative.

For example, your Uncle Milton, furious patriot, who works for a lifetime membership in the John Birch Society could not see the humor when you transform his candid snapshot taken by Aunt Millie, in which he was proud to wear his American Flag lapel pin after deftly changed, Photoshop artist, you at the flag of the Nazi party.

5 DSLRs Under $ 500Avtor Eric on November 13, 2007 | 4 KommentarievKak time for the holidays, here a great DSLRs 5 (with a set of lenses) to $ 500:1. Canon Rebel XT – Rebel XT was my first digtal SLR camera. I bought it shortly after its appearance in 2005 for $ 1000 (Rebel XT is $ 499 with lens up to November ‘07). I still use it almost daily basis. I shot somewhere around 25000 – 30000 shots now. No more hiccups. Anyway, I can personally vouch for the reliability and image quality that this camera packs. (Read more about Rebel XT here.) 2. Nikon D40 – I use a Nikon D40 for a few months. I first connected Canon, but I wanted one of these cameras to play with them and see what Nikon has to offer. I am very happy for the opportunity of my D40. D40 is much lighter than any DSLR, that I have ever used, even series Canon Rebel.
It is now $ 477. (Read more about Nikon D40 here.) 3. Pentax K100D – K100D is compatible with any Pentax lens ever produced. Built into the body Shake Reduction (. Liszt PDF fact) means that you get image stabilization with every lens K-Mount there. This is the only DSLR to $ 500, that does it. K100D also has 2. 5 “LCD, 11 point AF system with 9 cross-type sensors, ISO 200-3200 and 16-segment matrix accounting. All this is in the $ 449 it’s damn deal. (Read some reviews K100D here.) 4. Samsung GX-1S – Samsung GX -1S is a 6. 3-megapixel digital SLR camera With world-renowned Schneider optics and high resolution. 2 5-inch LCD display. Interchangeable lens DSLR was developed jointly with partner Pentax Corporation, which means that it takes a K-AF with mount. $ 441 GX-1S essentially rebadged Pentax DS2 IST *, which is just fine for this tsenu.5. Olympus E330 – E330 was the first Live View DSLR, which means that the LCD screen is the viewfinder. You will not find this feature in any another DSLR to $ 500 (E330 is $ 450). LCD-E330 is a “formulated”, he may extend from the camera and swivel downward or upward to the E-330 can carry the overhead shot of the crowd, which was held in the thigh, and even stand on the ground and something that is not possible with conventional SLR, which depends on the optical viewfinder alone.
By jenn
It depends on if you want to point and shoot or DSLR. My personal recommendation Pentax (if you go with a DSLR). All menu items are easier to use (easier to find exactly what you’re looking). Colors “pop” more Nikon (I can not speak for the Canon). I have a Pentax K100D Super Pentax and all that I never shoot.
They are cheaper than the Nikon, but takzhe.Zdes great site that helps you figure out what’s best for you. You can really tell him what options you want, and it will tell you want the camera works best for vas.Http: / / www. Dpreview. COM / reviews / comparisons.

Hey, buddy. Thx for this all these videos, but I want something more out of the bag, I would like to have cameras, but so can u recommend any bag that I can have a SLR, extra lens, flash, a compartment for spare batteries, and also keep the camcorder.
The big problem is I really need to swap them on the fly “Is it too much to ask from the bag?
By spacefoodstix
Thanks for the video. I like a lot of things Lowepro, but I must say that a number of Slingshot have a serious problem. Because they have only one strap, the full weight of the bag gets into one side of the neck and shoulder. After a half-day walk, the pain is really very significant.
The backpack system, and not as convenient access to the transfer, at least distribute the weight evenly.
By Jeeter1578
Let me add one more suggestion is that part of the cargo, with pockets to hold extra memory cards. Batteries and trivia

Thanks for the nice video. I also got MiniTrekker AW, and it’s really awesome.
It has space for almost all that I need to travel.
But you will need to have another small bag that is small and comfortable, but with enough space for the body, flash, and only one or two lenses, as a maximum, so that you can walk and discover the location is convenient, without the need to keep unnecessary additional equipment .
By hjaadd
Nice view. I minitrekker, and it is awesome.
It is very deep, so you can keep your lenses turned up to save space and make it easier to change lenses.

If you are looking for a comprehensive digital photos as a book, “Perfect Digital Photography” and all. I was a cheerleader, home Shutterbug more than 20 years. In the early days, I shot my trusty little Kodak 110 pocket camera, and then finished with a quality 35 mm SLR. I began to interfere in digital photography in the mid 1990’s with a pocket 640×480 pixels model Panasonic and was impressed at the time of the absence of feedback and developing costs, subject to digital.
But even then I knew that the quality of digital was just not up to movie standards yet. I shot a 35-mm point-and-shoot (jokingly referred to in this book, as the camera PHD …
As in “Push Here Dummy”). I made the transition to record all the memories of my family in the digital about three years ago when I bought a four-magapixel high-end pocket camera. This camera went with me, but I want to improve their skills as a digital photographer, and this means two things. Going to a digital SLR for greater control, as well as get more information to improve your skills as a photographer. In this connection, I was viewing digital photography books for several months, and bought a couple – not quite satisfied so far. “Perfect Digital Photography” is a book that I was looking for all this time.
The book is divided into two halves, each written by other authors.
The first section on the technique of photography, camera, and was written by Pulitzer Prize-winning National Geographic photographer Jay Dickman.
The second half, in Adobe Photoshop Certified Expert Jay Kinghorn, it’s all about the “digital darkroom” and using Photoshop, to put finishing touches to the work.
“Perfect Digital Photography” is written (with some exceptions ) for a beginner.
It follows the workflow of composition and use of light, camera basics, and really stands out for providing good insider “for” advice, with many digressions about the authors of philosophy, from ethics advice on how to approach strangers that you want to take pictures . Most of the content of the first half really can be applied to movie pictures too. In the second half, Jay Kinghorn starts with the basics of Photoshop, and then proceeds to discuss how to scan and organize photographic library.
Then, he delves into how to adjust the image, correction of tone and color, tips on black and white photography, printing considerations, and finally (for the aspiring PRO) and workflow.
The only negative I found was the author (Dickman, primarily) have a tendency to lapse into technical jargon once and a while.
It was nothing that I could not look up, get, or just read past.
“Perfect Digital Photography” for real, he lives up to its name, and the best book on the subject I have read. I have two friends lined up asking to borrow it and two others, who after leafing him, pulled ISBN buy a copy myself. What higher praise can be.

This is a great book, I would give it 10 stars if I could. In fact, if interested, from the photos you need this book and in the full guide, Rick Sammon on digital photography.
The authors of this book, a National Geographic photographer and other experts in Photoshop. Nets through the book a little article and other leaders in the field of photography and digital.
This book started well in the photograph and address concepts such as composition, equipment, poses, and other aspects of the pictures (even pictures of ethics), and also some special things to take into ACount using a digital camera. This is the first part of the book, the second half deals with the adoption of photos from the camera and set them in Photoshop to print and save.
The good thing about this is that the cover of Photoshop CS2 and new opportunities. For example photos is top notch and serve what you should strive to emulate in your photos.

It seems that I have read millions of articles on digital photography and my brain feels like a sponge. While many of the articles in popular magazines pictures were helpful, there is no source, whether as an informative and interesting, as this book. This book is very easy to read and even easier to understand. I do not consider myself a beginner, and I am not a professional, I am one of those guys who learned how to take a chance with my camera and try new things. With this book, I turned my DSLR with “Auto” and won the aperture and shutter priority. I can not thank enough the authors have helped me understand the many creative aspects of photography and how to “get”. My camera bag is now 6 lenses, my Canon 20D and “Perfect Digital Photography” as a source of continuous learning.

This is one of the best as the book that I used on a subject that is more art than science.
It is much easier to describe how to put in the sink, than how to make a good picture.
The text on the use of photoshop is also very good. I was able to take what they told me directly on my computer, and I began to see results in my pictures at once. Although not a problem for me, he seems to accept some idea of the topic before you read.
If only the experience of a point and shoot, it can be a struggle to read and understand what they say.
It would be useful to have struggled with a more advanced camera for 6 months or more.

“Perfect Digital Photography” is a wonderful book for me. I do not think there are a lot of books, gently combine world-class photography lessons digital lessons. This one does, and I think it’s great.
Some of my favorite photographs from National Geographic actually in this book as part of lessons. In this book, the actual photographer gives me lessons on how to take these kind of images. This is very cool.
There are two authors named Jay – one for photography and one for Photoshop. What are the chances? And it seems very well what they are doing, and I must say that I am now a fan of both. Good job, jays, and thank you!

$ 200 or less will buy you any of the dozens of good cameras. Considering that this is a fairly low budget, you will not find much difference between them in terms of image quality and features, and how easy they should “know” would depend on what you want to know. . .
If this is just how to use all the features on this camera, check the manual that came with the camera before you buy it.
If you want to learn how to take good pictures with a particular that otlichaetsya.Vmesto to give you a list of cameras to choose from, I suggest you look at the camera with a good set of features, make the short list, and then try the camera on your short list of the cell Shop – Dow may have to go to a few to try all the cells in your list, but it’s worth it. Features and specifications do not count for much if you can find the camera is too bulky to carry around, or if the controls are too small ar inappropriate places for your hands, or the menu does not make sense for vas.Osobennosti that are really worth having – zoom lens: a typical zoom range of the camera in this price range is 3-fold. Trying to get more optical zoom (do not agree with the digital zoom, it’s not worth worrying about) .- Image stabilization is becoming quite common, but make sure it’s available on your model, especially if she longitude zoom-screen you can see a bright light: take it to the AC; anti-glare screen is difficult to obtain, but the camera is useless on the street or on the beach on a sunny day if you do not see that you are taking (optical viewfinder is better, but less than $ 500 you’re not going to get 1) – Slow shutter lag.
It should be. Lag is the time between pressing the shutter button and shooting. Too many good cameras fall here, there should not be a noticeable delay between the shutter and get a shot, long battery life. AA batteries are convenient, but they do not last in digital cameras. Long, the battery from the camera maker is much better, and you should get a spare when you buy a camera, some manual controls. At least, you should be able to stop an outbreak of fire, if you do not want to increase or reduce the impact allows an awkward lighting conditions. When a camera control dial to PASM, and that’s otlichno.Proizvoditeli tend to emphasize the special features, such as face detection and dozens of special picture modes on food, children, sports, sunset, etc. Nice, but money invested in these functions, the less gets to the fundamentals that make for the top photo and make it so easy to rely on the camera that they interfere with learning photography – a change of camera 1, not the same set of features, and you are left to flounder .

Hello Agun17. Part of my proposal are missing. After the F4, I wrote, “that the ratio of F4 would be correct if the light was equal in intensity, but may vary from scattered straight and this ratio does not come to any flash meter I have ever owned.” Signs explanation says it all.

@ TheBaconrollZvuchit it so: F / 1, F / 1. 4, F / 2, F / 2. 8, F / 4, F / 5. 6, F / 8, f/11, f/16, f/22, f/32, f/45, f/64, f/90, f/128 and t.D.V principle, the area of a circle is equal to the production of F1 half the area of a circle of production F1. 4.I do not, 2. 8 Aperture does not have a dual focus 5. 6 diaphragm. They are excellent. Can you tell me whether you dim or completely obscure the light in the studio and just use the modeling lights? I use Adobe Lightroom for over a year and although I am deeply impressed by it (I recommend), I always felt that I just had no idea how to use it properly.
Adobe has tons of great online reference material for Lightroom, including hours of video lessons.
The company manages a useful forum for users and those users have created a wide range of websites and blogs related to this program. Full marks to all of them, and previews for Adobe to create a better visualization of the program I’ve ever used.
But I could never get a handle of how I should approach the “workflow “, or method of working with photos in Lightroom.
For me, Lightroom is not just a place to play with the pictures, it looks more like a giant mansion filled with rooms full of mysterious machines, secret passages , and so on, that looks like magic. I’ve always been more than half lost in the mansion Lightroom, when I processed photos.
To book Nat Coalson, that is.
I have some third of the way through it, and if I stopped reading it now, I would still feel that I learned as worth the price of the book. Indeed, as the title of this review says, I would be happy to pay twice as much just for the little I got it already.
Mr. Coulson wrote the way I think it must deliver its training programs.
There is a strong sense of one-on-one training in his work, and pays off in the way that everything else I’ve read about Lightroom can not open.
One of the problems with Lightroom, for me always was puzzled a number of options, functions and menu items. I never knew that half of them, and the other half I had no idea of what choice to make. This choice is all well explained in the book, not in the sense that they do, but what they can mean for your work, for your pictures. And if you’re still not clear on which option to choose, he usually finishes a section telling you that his personal choice, at least gives you a very well-informed place to start.
In section of the book, I concluded the deal essentially with how to get your photos in Lightroom in an organized manner, as to understand them, judge them, and get everything lined up before diving into the actual processing. This is a very important step that Adobe refers to as “workflow.” Although there is no one way about the process the way I used were wasteful and completely draining your time and energy.
Reading about the process in Lightroom is always to feel like someone wrote on the varnish the surface of my brain. I just could not get the concept, the details were Byzantine, and it just all seemed too bureaucratic and anal.
Now I do not even think about this process. All this is transparent and easy.
Configure the program and my picture files as he recommended. I found the options and features I liked. And I started to get-things-done – quickly.
Before me an hour or more just to get 100 or so shots of sorting and evaluation, are ready for full-scale image processing.
But now I can switch through 100 rounds in a few minutes.
I’m really looking forward to the next two-thirds of this book.
